Rush Limbaugh: Mueller not testifying because he has nothing to tell Congress
Fox News ^ | 17 May 2019 | Victor Garcia

Special Counsel Robert Mueller isn't appearing before Congress because he has "nothing to tell" and he doesn't want Democrats to be "mad at him," according to radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

"The bottom line here is that Mueller doesn’t want to, and the media is beside itself because they think they’re on Mueller’s team -- and Congress, they think they’re on Mueller’s team. They’re asking for the coach to come up and give them the pep talk," Limbaugh said on his radio show Friday.

"They want Mueller to come and finally tell ’em that there was collusion and that he knew it, that Barr will not let him say so, and Trump won’t let him say so! They want that, and Mueller doesn’t want to go talk to the team."

Democrats have called for Mueller to come to Capitol Hill to testify on his findings and the process of the Russia investigation.

Limbaugh charged that if Mueller had something that Democrats wanted to hear he'd be there by now.

"If Mueller doesn’t want to talk, do you know what it means? It means he’s got nothing to tell ’em that he knows they’re gonna want to hear. If Mueller had things to tell them that they wanted to hear, he would have been there by now," Limbaugh said.

The radio host said Democrats and critics will "disappointed and mad" if Mueller testifies as he most likely doesn't have information they would like to hear.

"All Mueller knows is that if he goes up there and talks to ’em, they’re gonna be disappointed and mad at him. He doesn’t want them mad at him, and the press and all these Democrats are Capitol Hill, they think that Mueller should know...

No doubt Mueller doesn’t really have much to tell Congress. But I think there are some questions the GOP would like him to answer.

Mueller is not appearing before congress because he does NOT want to be questioned by the GOP and he wants to wait until the OIG investigation is completed and released.

The whole basis for his investigation may look pretty silly soon and he will be before a congress that often asks stupid questions he might not want to be on record about when the other shoe drops.

You make a good point. I think Mueller fears the questions from the Republicans more than the dimoKKKRATS. He does not want to incriminate himself.

Mueller is not testifying because this Russian colluder gave a pass to Putin, saying there was no collusion, but not to Trump, saying he was not exonerated...

That’s right. Devin Nunez and Jim Jordan and others would grill him without mercy.

Yep, I wonder if his “reticence” isn’t due more to the possibility that he might have to explain so many illegal actions he and his lackeys took during this farce of a semi permanent “investigation”.

He also knows that if he tells them there’s nada, then they’ll KNOW it’s over, and I don’t think he wants to do the right thing.

I also don’t believe that Mueller wants to be indicted/tried for CRIMINAL PERJURY, either. = Therefore, if PRESSED he will have to ADMIT that there was NO EVIDENCE at all of UNLAWFUL COLLUSION and/or OBSTRUCTION of JUSTICE by DJT and/or his campaign.
(IF I could question him on TV, I would insist that he answer a question with a simple declarative answer, W/O equivocation or evasiveness: “WHEN did you realize that the so-called ‘investigation’, that you headed, was an utter WASTE of taxpayer’s money??”)

Actually I don’t think he’d mind being questioned by MOST members of the GOP. It’s just that handful of true Trump supporting GOP members that he wants to avoid (eg. Jordan, Nunez, Meadows).

Horowitz is slow walking his report. We won’t see it until summer. The fox guy on the radio who interviewed Barr said as much today. 3-4 week delay for release of IG reports after delivery to DOJ. And of course it hasn’t been finished yet. That puts us up to July. For an administrative report. Pathetic.

But I think there are some questions the GOP would like him to answer.
And following the Democrats new rule, the GOP should have lawyers ask the questions.

The problem with having "the GOP" ask questions, they'll be questions the RINO's and Democrats want the answers to...

The GOP is dead.

Horowitz's reports have always been weaksauce. Don't rely on on him, or Huber, to drop a hammer. His report on Fast and Furious was a whitewash, as are his reports thus far on RussiaGate.

His story makes no sense. There at 1000 questions he doesn’t want to answer. I can’t figure out why the rats don’t understand this. I don’t believe low is fully explains it

The other problem is Mueller is obligated to abide by the Executive Privilege that PDJT invoked for the full Mueller report and the underlying documents. He can’t cross that line without being subject to prosecution and he knows it.

I think Gestapo Mueller is smart enough to dummy up and avoid Congressional testimony - or, if called, plead the 5th and remain silent. After all, Trump using the word “treason” often and naming names. The ultimate penalty for a treason conviction is death. Methinks song birds like Comey, Clapper and Brennan are going regret their songs sung on national television. Rule Number One: If you’re in a hole, don’t keep digging in deeper.

The GOP is dead?

The Democrats said that in 1860.

Then came Lincoln.

Meuller is not testifying, not because of what he does not have to tell Congress, but because of what he doesn’t tell Congress is more apropos to the narrative to make AG Barr look bad, discrediting further investigations, and make it look like Trump obstructed. Its all about Meuller keeping his silence, not about him talking.
