Did James Comey just reveal more than he meant to?
A recent town hall–style meeting with CNN's Anderson Cooper, taking questions from college students, had Comey telling the youngster it was "totally normal" for the FBI to spy on presidential campaigns.
According to a report in the Daily Caller, Comey responded to a student inquiring about the validity of sending investigative agents to then-candidate Donald Trump's campaign this way:
Yeah, I'm not going to comment on a particular investigative step, because that's for the bureau to do, and I'm not in the government any longer, but the FBI doesn't spy to begin with. The FBI investigates. And you got to remember where we were in the end of July 2016," Comey answered. "We knew the Russians were engaged in a massive effort to attack our democracy, and then we learn from an allied ambassador that one of President Trump-elect — candidate Trump's advisers had been talking to a Russian representative long before that about dirt they had on Hillary Clinton that the Russians wanted to make available.

Who wants to bet Obama and Comey also spies on Bernie and (probably) Ted Cruz and Joe Biden? Anyone who was a threat to Hillary.

So far as I saw, Comey did not address the issue of whether the FISA warrant was “predicated”, or justified.

I have faith that the conspirators will be brought to justice because the survival of our Republican demands it.
Comey is a traitor who conspired with others to use government resources and power to influence an election and then he conspired with others to overthrow the duly-elected President and Vice President in a coup.
That he still walks around free is a horrid insult to our republic.
And they’ve definitely forgotten that the FBI was built on blackmailing politicians. And holding it to a higher standard is a good thing. But knowing the history as I do I kind of have to smile at these things. Same ol FBI.

Why not? Trump ordering FBI “investigators” inside every declared Democrat’s campaign team would be a perfectly normal thing, per former FBI Comey.
I think all manner of corruption has been totally normal in the FIB since Hoover.
Nobody mentions spies in Romney’s camp. I suppose they didn’t need them back then.
