Attorney General William Barrs refusal to appear before the House Judiciary Committee Thursday is giving critics plenty of ammunition, but few are taking advantage of the opportunity like Rep. Steve Cohen.
The Tennessee Democrat held a press conference this morning before the Committee met, calling the attorney general Chicken Barr while holding a ceramic hen. After he took his seat, though, things got especially surreal.
Cohen, once he placed his ceramic chicken in full view on his podium, pulled out a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken and began to chow down on it. It was not yet 9 a.m.
As political stunts go, it was plenty noteworthy, but this one likely involved some planning as well. KFC restaurants arent generally open for breakfast, meaning this was likely day-old cold chicken Cohen chose for breakfast.

How old are these people?
Jerry Nadler, Judiciary.
Adam Schiff, Intelligence
Maxine Waters, Financial Services
Elijah Cummings, Oversight and Reform
Raúl Grijalva, Natural Resources
To name a few.
It's a wonder the country hasn't collapsed under the weight of these intellects being in charge.
They’re like little kids who say “doo-doo” and giggle to themselves.....
"Are we talking 'Number One' or Cocky-Doody?"
We have to reinstitute dueling. Some piece of dog $h!t calls you chicken to get your goat you have the right, nay the duty to call him out said fecal democrats and meet with seconds on the field of honor.
Sophomoric...and worse
Hee hee
Tomorrow Nadler should show up dressed as Mayor McCheese.
Nadler looks like he wants to dive into that bucket....
THAT’S RACIST....
Someone should have brought him some Watermelon and an Orange Fanta.
Making a total fool of himself.
Tomorrow, the GOPers should bring Chick-Fil-A!
That would be great!
Allow us our moments of humorous musing.
G-d forbid it could have been Chick-Fil-A! Even better, kosher chicken.
I’ve got as good a sense of humor as anyone, but this idiot Cohen just made a mockery of Congress, while maligning an honorable and distinguished man. His stunt demeans our Congress, and if any of our Republican representatives answered in kind, he or she would be doing the same. Unfortunately, there may be among us a few people who actually DO think it would be a good idea. It was THAT sentiment to which my remarks were a response. FReegards.
Yeah well, I guess he figures folks outside of DC just ain't smart enough to catch that little fact... Those boys seem to have a lots of trouble with all kinds of facts...
Nadless would look better as Grimace.
The chicken-munching Dem is the alien goofball from Memphis, a once-great city.
I remembered that it made headlines in the Hartford Times when KFC was owned by Heublin which is now defunct (based in Hartford CT) when Harlan Sanders (no relation to Bernie) called KFC the worst crap he ever had...
Hoping he’ll choke on a bone...
