Lets not forget that a portion of the federal government was importing illegal drugs and assisting in the creation of the cartels, while another portion of the federal government was at war against illegal drugs and the cartels.
We had elements of our federal government at war with each other and shedding each other’s blood.

People can have plenty of money,m but really want power and influence.
As our Federal Government grew to have tremendous influence in the lives of people , the power seekers would gravitate to it through getting elected or by controlling politicians to get their agendas implemented.
Washington is the place for power and influence and also to make money if you need that also.
These established people in both political parties are not going to put up with Donald Trump jeopardizing their Washington power and money influences. -tom
In essence, career military officers are like any other ambitious, success driven individuals. However, unlike business people like Trump who achieve their highs every time they doa deal, military careerists never get an ego "win" unless there is a war/conflict that utilizes all their skills, tools and leadership.
To a certain extent, this helps explain in part why the DoD is so ambivalent about protecting the border. That is, they are geared up for difficult match-ups vs China or Russia, not a bunch of penniless peasants. In other words, no one is going to be promoted doing a good job patrolling the board and interdicting primitive invaders.
However, HOWEVER, where the long term implications of unfettered illegal immigration hit home dovetails perfectly with the globalists 16 year plan. In order for an elite few to lord it over a subservient slave class, they must necessarily destroy the economic basis by which creates free men. But, the real impact on military capability results in the same problems which afflicted the USSR: lower IQ peasants toiling in a low(ish) tech economy are no match for a highly sophisticated adversary.
And who might that adversary be? Why, the Chinese of course. So, put yourself in the position of a military careerist: if you were to allow the 16 year plan to succeed, you are eventually going to have your ass kicked by an advanced Chinese force that will run circles around you. Now, who wants to experience that type of life/career ending situation?
The solution of course was to pre-emptively destroy the enemy's attempt at subverting the entire US cultural/legal/political/economic system. Now, I'll admit there are some patriotic hard-ons who may still embrace the quaint notion of 'duty & honor'. But, knowing human nature, the real motivating force is self-interest. If you're MIC, you want the newest, latest & greatest. Low IQ peasants aren't going to deliver it for the US anymore than they delivered for their home country in Mexico.
Lastly, I still assert that the Chinese are the actual ones behind the deep state actors. Someone has a very long term plan to restore what they see as a 500 year Western usurpation, a mere blink of an eye for a culture that's been around for 5,000 years.
The reason why the US military hands are tied is because of a misinterpretation of the terrible Posse Comitatus Act.
Now, what is the meaning of this observation? On a surface level, he is of course appealing to the man-on-the-street economic well being ie job, house, car, family, etc. But to strategists who know wars are won due to technology - and the people who can operate/deliver those capabilities - it was a message that was being sent to an entirely different audience.
Because, let's consider just how much money it takes to fund & finance a myriad of R&D projects, a large percentage which never go anywhere. As is probably known by everyone @ FR, the US beat the USSR in the Cold war when Reagan opened the spigot on military spending. The Soviets didn't have the economy - or brain power - to keep up, which led to the entire atrophied pseudo-communist system imploding just a few years later.
There's a lot more to Trump's America first posturing other than appealing to regular citizens' sense of patriotism. Rather, there is a very pragmatic and intentional reason why the economy needs to be powering on all cylinders. And the MIC gets it; boy do they get it. No economy, no goodies. No goodies, eventually an ass kicking is coming someone's way.
PS I've often claimed that Germany lost the war when Hitler was named Chancellor. Imagine if a similar nationalist had, instead of persecuting the Jews, had co-opted their leading scientists? That is, offer a deal to develop what eventually became nuclear weapons in exchange for supporting the formation of greater Israel. History of course would have been completely different.
So too our current timeline - if Kankles had been elected, it's not just regular Americans who would suffer. No, there would be thousands of MIC careerists who would know the jig was up. Destroying an economy, legal and political system, and replacing productive self-starters with low tech illegals would result in the exact opposite scenario as described by Trump above. I say, Trump winning the election looks suspiciously like "mission accomplished".
I think you may be vastly overestimating how many fair minded people live her today.
They way people are praising Barr reminds me of all those Trey Goudy destroys.......videos on YouTube. Remember when we craved Christie daily porn when he destroyed someone. Remember when cattle futures finally jailed Hillary, then WhiteWater would get her for sure. Only one I recall getting got was Tom Delay. Well, aside from a few Illinois governors.

Question, if the SS officers were part of the boys protection detail they were familiar, so what about the “selfie” posing that “freaked him out”? What were they doing, what sort of posing? And to whom were they sending the photos?
SS investigating itself, sure, like the Columcian prostitute visits, lost guns, etc. The SAC in Denver posting she wouldn’t take a bullet to protect Trump.

The praetorian guard needs to be thoroughly investigated by an outside party...and it needs to be a deep re-investigation, a deep counter-intelligence effort as though it’s they’re first, a hostile one that assumes that there are secrets that need uncovering.

I Rejected all news the Friday before the last election and have not watched a single news show since then. I remember when Crocodile Dundee came to New York and the reporter girl friend showed him a TV, he said he had seen one before and turned it on and Lucille Ball came on, he stated yep that was what he saw. If never acted on most foreign citizenships expire when the minor reaches the age of majority.
