The city of Los Angeles is honoring Obama by renaming a road in his honor next month.

Rodeo Road will be officially renamed Obama Boulevard on May 4 during a renaming ceremony and street festival on May 4, according to a social media post from City Council President Herb Wesson.

The City Council unanimously approved Wesson’s proposal last summer to rename a 4-mile stretch of Rodeo Road between Jefferson Boulevard and Arlington Avenue in honor of the 44th president, KTLA-TV reported.

The renaming ceremony and festival will take place where Obama Boulevard intersects with Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in South L.A.

The headline brings immediately to mind Lou Reed’s classic “Dirty Boulevard”.

Isn’t there an Obama Blvd already in San Fransisco’s “Crap District”?

Maybe it’s a road that magically returns to Kenya, where this worthless POS should shovel off to.

Fake blacks honoring fake blacks, there are many dead end streets available. If he murdered thousands they would still name a street after him because he’s black

Reagan and Obama are the only former modern presidents that will or did have vast things named after them. Bush senior has airport and other things but not in Reagan’s league. Bush junior has nothing so not in obama league. Clinton hasn’t had much. Reagan has most. Obama will be second or overtake Reagan.

Who’s going to pay for all of the businesses that have to rebrand their materials for the new street name?

Will crime rates on that street rise now?

Homeless people defecating on LA streets fuels horror hepatitis outbreak, as city faulted

All the attention San Francisco gets for its streets full of human feces, should not make people believe that the problem is limit to only that Democrat leftwing utopia.

It's an intolerant street, one way only, going leftward. No exceptions.

Back in 1976, I had a job that often took me to a neighborhood in Baldwin Park through which Rodeo Road runs that consisted mostly of apartment houses inhabited mostly by middle-class blacks. The neighborhood was called the Jungle because of its tropical foliage. Nearby, on La Brea Ave. between Rodeo and Coliseum was a shopping mall that featured a Thrifty Drug Store where I would sometimes stop for an ice cream cone.

I drove through there after the 1992 Rodney King riot. The Thrifty Drug Store was a burned-out shell and the rest of the neighborhood looked like Berlin in 1945.

Incidentally, the neighborhood is still called the Jungle but for reasons in addition to its foliage.

So when the truth about this criminal comes out will the LA city counsel have the guts to change the name back? Odunga is the Michael Jackson of politics.
