Appearing as the nightcap for CNN's five-part Town Hall segment on Monday, 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg addressed concerns over his lack of political experience, his age and his views on how faith can be used to unite Christians from all political spectrums.
Buttigieg, who is the current mayor of South Bend, Indiana, talked about his faith at the end of the hour-long question and answer session.
"You've talked opening about your strong Christian faith, as well as your identity as a happily-married gay man. I myself am a bi-sexual Christian woman," Harvard freshman Camille Caldera told Buttigieg. "How will you challenge the right's moral-monopoly on Christianity to unite conservative, moderate and liberal Christians alike behind you and your platform?"
Buttigieg responded to say that he felt the core of his faith is "regard for one another" and that in the tradition of his faith — the Democrat is a practicing Episcopalian — is "in the way we support one another, and in particular support the least among us."
Buttigieg added that he is a strong proponent of the separation of church and state.

The bible tells us that God forgives sinners and that only “he who is without sin” should cast stones. It says nothing about casting votes. I believe Buttigag is confusing casting stones with casting votes.

Indeed. While Scripture confirms that we are all fallen sinners, even those who have been reconciled to The Father through the blood of His Son and empowered by the Holy Spirit, and none of us can know the heart of another, Scripture is also clear that while we may still sin we do not CELEBRATE our sin. Practicing sodomites are celebrating their sinfulness, which Scripture makes clear is NOT the hallmark of a Follower of Christ. I am not being judgmental, it is God who has defined that judgment through His revealed Scripture. I am merely a person not crippled by an absence of reading comprehension.

That twists what the scriptures (new testament) say, taking what was spoken to the faithful, the committed Christians, and speaking of it as if it was said to include all the pagans around the Christians.
Whenever the uncoverted were being asked to join Christians, they were being asked to repent (change, reform) and join in being a faithful Christian according to scripture.
Such Liberal ideas as spoken by what’s-his-name betray another intentional misreading of scripture - that Yeshua met and sat with sinners, spoke with sinners and dined with sinners. The Liberal pretense that that was an “acceptance” of sin. They ignore that he never left the sinner to think He, Yeshua was ignoring their sin. He always taught them to repent for their sins (change away from their sin), not rejoice in their sin.
