PARIS, April 15 (Reuters) - Notre-Dame Cathedral went up in flames on Monday in a roaring blaze that devasted the Parisian landmark, one of France's most visited places.

Flames burst through the roof of the centuries-old cathedral and quickly engulfed the spire, which collapsed.
A huge plume of smoke wafted across the city and ash fell over a large area.
Firefighters cleared the area around the cathedral, which marks the very center of Paris.
President Emmanuel Macron canceled an address to the nation that he had been due to give later on Monday evening. A presidential official said Macron was to go to the scene of the blaze.
"A terrible fire is under way at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris," Mayor Anne Hidalgo said on Twitter.
France 2 television reported that police were treating the incident as an accident.

Not exactly. The cathedral was struck by 14 high explosive bombs and a larger number of incendiaries. The repair efforts continued until 1956. The cathedral was not a target, but the bahnof, the rail roads and the bridges over the Rhine definitely were and avoiding the cathedral was impossible.
1. When was the last time there was a Latin Mass in that cathedral?
According to Pilgrim-info, there is Mass at 8am, 9am and at the main alter at noon, and an evening Mass at 6:15pm. For Good Friday/Easter Sunday, it’s super big deal Mass.

This is looking very suspicious though. They busted terrorists from 3 years ago who were looking to destroy it, and I read some other churches were attacked in the past few months, and this happens so close to Easter? Plus it’s been raining in Paris..But what’s the point whether it’s a terror attack or not? If it is absolutely nothing will be done about it. It will be business as usual in France. They’ll hold a vigil, John Kerry will get James Taylor to sing a lullaby and France will do absolutely nothing about their Islamo Nazi invasion.

Actually time will never tell. These European leaders are so entrenched in Muslim appeasement they will cover up any terrorist attack in fear of a bloodbath in the streets. The Bloody Revolution of 1789 showed Parisians had a lust for it, but they have been cowed in the past 230 years.
The world will make a point of rebuilding it. Art, windows and relics of saints will be lost, but Faith will persevere.
Now, if I were France, the first thing I’d do is erect a spire, as high as the original one. Standing alone if need be, lit up like a Christmas Tree, but over the skyline all the same. Just in case somebodys need something to remind them something happened. Then rebuild the church.
