It wasn't "some people did something."
The "some people" were muslim terrorists. Yes muslim terrorists attacking us for religious reasons, or at least what they thought were their own twisted religious reasons.
Nearly 3000 American died when they "did something." Tens of thousands of families suffered to various degrees. That "did something" kicked off retaliation - so that the instigators could never do such things again. The resultant warfare cost thousands more lives on both sides.
So Omar, when you say "some people did something" you are being insultingly dismissive of an extreme event. You want to represent the Americans in your district, then represent Americans - that's how we view it.
Speaking of which, I don’t recall seeing any kind of follow-up to the story of the nutcase from Rep. Omar’s district who, out of the blue, picked up a small child and tossed him off a 40-foot balcony in a shopping mall.

My Army Son had two tours in Iraq because “someone did something” Two families in our town are now Gold Star families - one young soldier who was a member of our church and left behind a widow and two young sons.
