Lori Loughlin is starting to come to terms with the new charge against her, a source tells ET.
A day after Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged in a second superseding indictment on conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering, a source tells ET that, up until this point, Loughlin didn't believe she would face the possibility of serving time in prison. Despite fearing the prospect of jail, the source claims Loughlin didn't truly believe it could happen to her.
Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters -- Olivia, 19, and Bella, 20 -- admitted to the University of Southern California as recruits for the crew team, even though neither of them participated in the sport.
"Lori still believed in the end she would just get a slap on the wrist," the source says. "At this point she is getting complete clarity and shes scared and in terrible shape.

I find it very hard to believe that the kids didn’t know. They know they didn’t do crew. They are just as guilty.
Not even Uncle Jessie can save her this time! Especially not in 30 minutes!
Whatever happened to predictability?
Yes, and there will be no help from Mountie Jack. He got killed in an avalanche. One wonders what calamity will kill off Abigail?
That’s what she gets for letting her husband be a Trump supporter.
The daughter started her own YouTube channel and was making over a million a year. She didn’t want to go to college. Her parents pressurd her to do so.
AMEN. And understatement.
“Did she ignore her lawyers advice? Or is her lawyer incompetent?
If she ignored the lawyer, he should leave.
If he gave bad advice, he should be fired.”
I asked my brother (atty & part time judge) about this; eg, did he (the atty) fail to warn her about the potential consequences of being charged with money laundering even though up until y’day those level charges were not issued?
I myself thought that could be a serious potential case of malpractice.
He said it’s impossible to believe that that the DA did not warn her and her atty of the potential of money laundering charges = quadruple or nothing (not “nothing” but you get my point)
I wonder if that imbecile realizes that without her parents’ fame, she would be working in a car wash.
[[Olivia (daughter) blames her mother and claims she always will, the source says. Olivia isnt ready to forgive and has continued to distance herself. She is attempting to process all of this. And trying to work on ways to rebuild her business on her own without her parents help.]]
I’m sure Olivia didn’t know what was going on. (LOL) There’s a Reality TV show in here someplace.
Good research for a Prison movie or TV series ,LOL
Yes, I can certainly see why this broad would think that she could get away with it. Worked for Hillary, Bill, Eric Holder and Jussie, why not me!
Prison for Lori Laughlin should only be an option after the schemers who put this crime in motion go to prison.
Re: her attorney. There could be some delicious irony here. What if her attorney is the child of rich parents who BOUGHT his diploma too?? Celebrities, celebrity attorneys, all connected. Incompetence explained-and deserved.
Nice to hear. Enjoy further lessons in humility, bitch.
And coaches.
meh. If this had been Jada Pinket Smith, nothing would happen to her. Leave Lori Alone!!!
She’s a pretty woman, she’s used to smooth sailing.
I suppose there’s a 2% chance of that!
As I said, the possibility of her being unaware of the gravity of potential money laundering charges is extremely hard to believe. And yet, I would have to agree, nobody should be cavalier about the potential of laundering charges: Those can be proven with unequivocal clarity unless we are talking about convoluted and sophisticated offshore banking transfers. Here, we are talking about grossly unsophisticated sloppy moves. The Feds will beat her head in, they will not be f**ing around with this, that I can assure you.
What if the DA met with the atty (only) and he failed to pass on the warning?
Aunt Becky thought that the DA was bluffing, but he was holding a Full House, instead of a pair.
