It would be no surprise that as a birth photographer, youd be used to being a part of highly emotional moments in peoples lives.
But the birth of little Uma Louise Dougherty-Eledge left one seasoned photographer an absolute mess and the incredible images and the story behind them have since gone viral around the globe.
Being a part of this incredible journey has been one of the most magical experiences, photographer Ariel Panowicz told Yahoo.
Uma Louise was born Monday morning at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha to proud dads Matthew Eledge and Elliot Dougherty, who are married.
She was conceived via in vitro fertilization, using Eledges sperm and eggs from Doughertys sister, Lea Yribe.
And it was Eledges 61-year-old mother, Cecile Reynek Eledge, who served as the gestational carrier and gave birth to Uma, helping her son and son-in-law become first-time parents.

That would make their son their half-brother. Strange days indeed...
The “top comments” now have some negative ones mixed in. Lots of people are repulsed by this. Yet Yahoo! acts like it’s the most beautiful thing ever for a son to watch his mother give birth to his own child.
Words fail me.
so the mother carried the daughter’s egg which was fertilized by the “husband” of her son?
I just pray for the child - it’s relations are so off track about right and wrong this kid will never know “normal” until it breaks free and finds real Truth not fantasy as this family seems completely self deluded about who is mom, dad, grandma etc. etc. etc.
.....”Lots of people are repulsed by this”.....
That would be the ‘natural’ reaction with the discerning abilities God has given us......

>> “Mom’s my own grandma!” <<
This place is becoming the new Weekly World News.
Serious discussion of issues is quickly disappearing in the rear-view mirror.
Oh, look! Here comes bigfoot in a flying saucer.
This is the daughter of his sister and his 'husband' birthed by the grandmother. And they call this normal behavior and you are closed-minded and filled with hate if you find it even the least bit odd. I can't imagine how this kid is going to feel knowing this is how they came into the world. Seems so incredibly selfish - you are supposed to have the kid for the kid, not for yourself.
Aunt is really your Mom, Dad #2 is really your uncle, and your grandmother gave birth to you. I just think it is extraordinarily selfish to bring a child into the world like this who had no choice in the matter when it could possibly have extraordinary psychological shocks when the child eventually finds this out - your Aunt is your Mom, your Dad is your Uncle... Two men cannot by any natural means conceive children - just a biological reality - just accept that reality and don’t do this to another human being because of it.
Unfortunately, this is actual true story.
No, the son of one of the Dads and the nephew of the other, with the aunt being the mother.
I’m going to bed.
Get up in the morning. Make some sausage and eggs, and see if the world looks any different at 7am before the liberal weenies get up.
G’night.

If they inherently cannot reproduce alone, then what takes place between them inherently is not sex.

But it sux!
Most readers here are not being made fully aware of the implications of this wicked, sick incident.
More than likely, the state of Nebraska will be commanded to put both homosexuals on the “birth certificate” as the “fathers,” and the state will probably comply at the risk of leftist judges doing the bidding of well-heeled homosexual activist groups.
Therefore, we learn that parenthood is now ASSIGNED, not an empirical fact. And if parenthood is merely an assigning of “rights” to people regardless of reality, then we are all at risk. A state might just as easily “unassign” that designation in the hands of certain groups.
I do not condemn them. I absolutely condemn the act as an inherent violation of Natural Law.
The Founding Fathers appealed to the Creator of Natural Law, not to the ephemeral libertine perversions of human beings (as did those of the French Revolution). If they had not done so, then the human slavery that many of them condemned might never have been categorically outlawed: They built into the Constitution and Bill the possibility for that eradication.
I submit that an America that not only permits but endorses - and then mandates - such perversions is no longer worth loving.
