Pete Buttigieg, who has yet to officially announce his 2020 presidential campaign, said on Monday that he has raised more than $7 million in the first quarter of this year.
“This is just a preliminary analysis, but our team’s initial report shows we raised over $7 million dollars in Q1 of this year,” the Democratic mayor of South Bend, Ind., tweeted.
“We (you) are out-performing expectations at every turn,” he added. “I’ll have a more complete analysis later, but until then: a big thank you to all our supporters.”

I am curious what would happen if an open homosexual won the Democrat nomination. You’d probably get some support from Log Cabin Republicans and some others but they would not offset the losses from blacks, Hispanics and Muslims that still believe homosexuality is wrong and won’t abide with it. They’ll say the politically correct things in public but, in the privacy of the voting booth, they would vote against it.
I don’t think that means many would turn to Trump, particularly if a third-party candidate is on the ballot. I think many would just stay home or only vote down-ballot. It might even be a blessing to the GOP in other races if a certain percentage just stayed home and didn’t vote.
