Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Tuesday tore into a Republican colleague who suggested the so-called Green New Deal she is championing is elitist.
This is not an elitist issue; this is a quality-of-life issue, Ocasio-Cortez said during a House Financial Services Committee meeting. You want to tell people that their concern and their desire for clean air and clean water is elitist? Tell that to the kids in the South Bronx, which are suffering from the highest rates of childhood asthma in the country."
Tell that to the families in Flint whose kids have their blood ascending in lead levels, their brains are damaged for the rest of their lives, she continued. Call them elitist.
Moments earlier, Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wis., blasted the ambitious environmental plan to move the country toward zero carbon emissions.

She literally sounds like she's playing a part on a TV show.
I’m dying ....from laughing at this retard.
Tell that to the families in Flint whose kids have their blood ascending in lead levels, their brains are damaged for the rest of their lives, she continued. Call them elitist.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tell the families that democrats have been in charge of those pipes for many, many years and get on with fixing them.
And stop blaming whitey.
“zero carbon emissions”
If every one is dead, it will happen.
And puppies and kittens.
Everyone should have a puppy and a kitten.
Is that elitist!
Oh, the ponies are really spinning off of Alexandrias merry go round now.
zero carbon emissions
she wants everyone to stop breathing? - my answer to AOC - you first
If all libtards commit suicide, the emissions from their upper rectal openings will be cut dramatically.
It’s only been a little while, but, how long must we suffer this jacka$$ ?
Tell that to the families in Flint whose kids have their blood ascending in lead levels, their brains are damaged for the rest of their lives,
The Flint water crisis started with a Democrat city council that wanted to save some bucks and switch water sources. They knew the old conditions. The kids now unfortunately have brains equal the city council.
She is either sincere, and believes her own propaganda (most likely) or is extremely good at faking it.
How are the ignorant going to tell the difference, and does it matter to the ignorant, which are close to a voting majority?
Yet her people couldn’t be bothered to vote for it.
I hope she stays around for a long time. She exposes the democrats as the retards they are.
And she says people are dying for lack of work. I wish she would show us one. Just one. Whenever a liberal rants about hunger in America, I ask them what the statistics are on nutritionally related illness/deaths in a year. They cant answer.
Hey! Hey! Hey!
Sometimes kids are on this site.
Flint, Michigan - Democrat created.
” I hope she stays around for a long time. She exposes the democrats as the retards thy are. “
Agree, she does that. But, it is vomitingly hard to take.
There’s something to be said for clean air and water. But she isn’t old enough (or educated enough) to know how much better the environment is now than it was not too long ago. My father used to talk about how there was a constant dark haze in St. Louis during the 1950s — from coal smoke. That is still an industrial area and there is still pollution, but nothing like what it was. I remember when I first saw Chicago’s south side in the 1980s, Wolf Lake, which straddles the border between Illinois and Indiana, was pretty much a toxic waste dump, but now it is one of the cleaner bodies of water in Illinois, used for recreation, not for dumping.
Progress has been made, and there is still room for more. I live in an area of current and former industry. There is recent evidence of lead in the soil from factories ignoring common industrial procedures to avoid such contamination. A whole bunch of swans died off all at once in a nearby lake. A state-conducted necropsy claimed the cause was from a parasite, but I wonder. I would like to see remedies to those problems. But it doesn’t require ripping up the foundations of the economy and going into completely uncharted territory. Her plan reminds me of what another red know-it-all tried on a much smaller, and potentially less-disasterous, scale. Young Fidel Castro wanted to move Cuba away from cash crops and insisted on planting a certain crop (I don’t remember what) that experts said wouldn’t grow in Cuba. Fidel was convinced he was right and went ahead with his plan anyway and, guess what? The crop wouldn’t grow.
