CHRISTCHURCH=Manacled and barefoot, Brenton Harrison Tarrant walked into a courtroom on Saturday and flashed an “OK,” widely seen as a symbol of white power, as he stood to face murder charges less than 24 hours after brutal assaults on two mosques in this city left at least 49 dead.
Police named Tarrant the primary suspect in what was the deadliest attack in New Zealand’s history — and one of the worst cases of right-wing terrorism in years — after the 28 year-old Australian allegedly stormed two mosques during mid-day prayers on Friday and mowed down dozens of huddling and fleeing worshipers while he streamed the killing live over the internet with a helmet-mounted camera.
Two others have been arrested in connection with the shootings: A second man, 18-year old Daniel John Burrough, was scheduled to appear in court later Saturday and face charges of inciting racial hostility or ill-will. A third accomplice remained unidentified.
Christchurch hospital officials said mid-day Saturday that 39 people, including 2 children, remained hospitalized, with 11 in critical condition.
The killing spree sundered life in New Zealand, a country celebrated for its low crime rate, and sent shockwaves around the world at a time when many countries are grappling with the rise in right-wing extremism.
During his hearing, which was closed to the public by Judge Paul Keller in the interest of safety — an unusual move for New Zealand courts — Tarrant did not enter a plea to the murder charge. He was dressed in white prison clothes and stayed silent throughout, smirking at the press, according to the New Zealand Herald.
Photos from the courtroom showed Tarrant standing in the dock, flanked by two police officers, shaping his right thumb and forefinger in a gesture that is widely seen as signifying white power.

Since when has the “OK” finger symbol been a sign for “white supremacy”? From what I understand that started out as a satirist’s joke on 4chan and was never anything serious before that!
I’ve seen people for years using that signal to mean “I’m OK” when they could not be heard over noise. This is just another example of progressives hijacking perfectly good means of communications and words and changing their meanings.
Has anyone ever seen “white supremists” using this before the progressives started claiming it was a white supremist sign?
That killer hanged out in one of these internet troll websites (8chan). A lot of what he wrote in his manifesto and a lot of what he does is this nihilistic “trolling”. He is also baiting with this.
Of course the hand signal is a hoax. That guy is aware of all this and that is why he did it. It’s all a “trolling” game for him.

The murdering of innocent people by a self engrandizing maniac has to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. There is a definite frustration out here that lends itself to cause and effect. When you back a dog into a corner what choices does he have? The setup by the politican puppets and their media are hard at work promoting this scenario they have created.
To enact change you must protect those who will help you and beat, shut down, isolate and demonize those who will eventually be forced to rise up. This resistance has already been labeled “white extremist” and now those against the invasion of islam in their country are now the terroists. Politicians the media and well funded groups will make a concerted effort to steer the self blinded citizenry in this direction. Anyone fighting back verbally or physically will be delt with and labeled the enemy. The West is paying a steep price for marginalizing men; allowing legalized affirmative action with de facto quotas didn’t just impact them psychologically, but reinforced in the minds of the alleged beneficiaries that racial and gender inferiority are very real - so the governments’ solutions will be permanent. The idea of compensating for past wrongs is irrelevant now; without government interference/reverse discrimination those groups would find themselves back where they were decades ago. Women have been 59% of college classes for years, yet government is still looking for more ways to push them because too many simply don’t want to be worked like men (still choosing traditional “female” fields, or at best working “female” hours - the bare minimum). In the end the only legacy will be the voluntary elimination of white families/children - leading to rants like that of the NZ shooter as Western governments simply replace the disappearing whites with unassimilated, primitive Third Worlders.
