The chief executive officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods said Tuesday the retailer will stop selling firearms at 125 of its stores, The Wall Street Journal reported.
In a conference call, Dick’s CEO Ed Stack said the retailer will remove guns and some hunting gear after testing the idea in 10 stores last year, the newspaper reported.
The move continues a rollback that Dick’s began last year, when the company announced it would stop selling assault-style guns and would not sell weapons or ammunition to anyone under the age of 21. That announcement, made in the wake of a mass shooting that killed 17 people at a Parkland, Florida, high school in February 2018, resulted in a sales slump of 3.9 percent for the three-month period that ended Nov. 3, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The space the weapons occupied will be used to sell licensed sports gear and outdoor recreation equipment, Stack said during the conference call.

I haven’t set foot in a dicks or their sister Field and Stream stores since the AR-15 ban.
At 125 stores out of total 850 stores.

Yet in real life it’s the opposite. I’ve seen first hand where black men treated white women as a cheap trophy or a piece of meat.
That’s why TV has become fantasy in every way.
Don’t know if you saw my other post, but I take surveys for a few extra bucks and I’ve taken PLENTY on Gillette after that commercial rocked them.
Asked me a million different ways how I felt.
And I told them a million different ways they lost a lifelong customer because they couldn’t shut the #### up about something that was none of their business to begin with.
Also told them since we white guys are animals, they shouldn’t want our business.
And they succeeded.
Took Target ads after their stupid bathroom stance.
Budweiser after their gay marriage commericals during football.
They all freak out after they realize HOW MUCH they messed up.
Yeah they freak out, and double down on stupid.
You left out Irish Americans. Have you ever heard of Irish alzheimers? All you remember are the grudges.

I’m a Christian man not given to vulgarity. I quietly flip Dicks the bird every time I see a store of theirs. It’s my one, shall we say vice if vulgarity. I’m not proud of it; I just do it.
That can happen.

My local Dicks would get their asses handed to them here if they attempted to sell firearms. I have at least 5 full time gun stores in a 30 mile radius of my home.
They all do volume business. The most successful one has a 75 YARD indoor climate controlled range that’s amazing. It has not 1, not 2, but 3 classrooms that has hold 25 people each for CCL licensing.
That’s where I go to work on my handloads and dial things in.

They don’t learn. Or learn for a little while like children sometimes do.
To have THAT much time to waste means there are some jobs that can be cut in advertising without feeling any pain
