Fear is a great motivator, as is anger. Those two emotions are among the most powerful and destructive feelings that human beings can experience. Politicians use them, to varying degrees, regularly and effectively. But rarely has a political party so openly embraced these two sentiments as the argument for supporting them. Democrats no longer use fear and anger as tactics, they’re now both the means and the end to winning elections. And for a large percentage of the public, it works.
Successful politicians who have a lasting place in history have taken the other route. Ronald Reagan sought to inspire the country to believe in themselves and the nation, even during the tension of the Cold War. John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton did the same, telling people things could be better, that the United States is better. Even Donald Trump, with “Make America Great Again,” is telling people things can be better than the stagnation at the time.
Now the Democrats have decided to take a different path. “The world is coming to an end” is meant to inspire only disaster avoidance if obedience is granted to liberals’ demand.
This occurs on nearly every issue. Climate change will kill you, unless Democrats get their way. President Trump is going to start a civil war if he’s not reelected. You name it and Democrats are offering a false choice between destruction or salvation, a salvation that can only be granted by surrender.
An Associated Press story on global warming opens with, “A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed…” That’s not the entirety of the article’s opening sentence, but I’ll wait till later to finish it. First, a little more on the problem.
Having failed to convert the voting age public into true believers on the environment, liberals set their sights on children. Adopting the tobacco company model of hooking them while they’re young, the indoctrination machine has churned out the first generation of the faithful who’ve been elected to Congress.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a true believer – the unquestioning adherent to the idea of the destruction of life in 12 years if we don’t surrender to the liberal agenda right now. But the high priestess in the Holy Church of Global Warming is not enough alone to accomplish their goal. That’s why they’ve built an army.
Children across Europe have been going on “climate strikes” in an attempt force capitulation to the “green agenda” by adults. Truth be told, it doesn’t get much easier than convincing school kids to skip class, whatever the cause, especially when teachers and school administrators grant permission.
These “strikes” are coming to the United States. Organizers have thrust children to the front, with four of them writing in an op-ed announcing their plans, “We strike because our world leaders haven’t acknowledged, prioritized, or properly addressed the climate crisis. We strike because marginalized communities across our nation—especially communities of color and low-income communities—are already disproportionately impacted by climate change. We strike because if the societal order is disrupted by our refusal to attend school, then influential adults will be forced to take note, face the urgency of the climate crisis, and enact change.”
Fear, indeed, is a powerful motivator.
“With our future at stake, we call for radical legislative action—now—to combat climate change and its countless detrimental effects on the American people,” these brainwashed teens write.
They conclude, “We strike because we believe the climate crisis should be called what it really is: A national emergency, because we are running out of time.” And they really believe it because they’ve been told it’s true by teachers, politicians, journalists, and other adults in positions of trust who’ve exploited their authority to advance the liberal agenda.
Rather than attempting to quell the fears of these children and allow them to be instead of scared pawns in a farcical progressive power play, the Democratic Party celebrates their deception. They’re proud of their work. They’re proud of the lying, they’re proud of the fear.
Remember that Associated Press article I quoted earlier? In it, they reported a UN official declaring “governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.” That would scare any child, and add some legitimacy to AOC’s “we’re all gonna die in 12 years” mantra, except for one thing…
The entire opening sentence of the piece reads, “A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.” The article was written in June of 1989, which is four months before AOC was born. If these doomsayers were right, she would have been swimming in the streets of New York when she was 10.
But fear overrides facts. And when what you’re conditioned to be afraid of something no one is willing to stop, you get angry. Kids are angry and afraid for a very good reason, it’s just not directed toward whom it should be – the truly bad people filling their heads with lies for political gain.

The very fact that both “only” Joe Biden & Bernie Sanders have significant leads in polling for the 2020 POTUS campaign over their fellow would be candidates is ample proof that the Democrat Party is dying politically. The remainder of the multiple Democrats running for the POTUS slot have meager polling numbers at best.
Fact is, Joe Biden & Bernie Sanders are themselves extremely weak candidates and Democrat, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi & Democrat, Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer are leaders not at all!!!

The school districts will put up a fake fuss, let the kiddies skip school for a few days then as all planned in advance fold like a cheap suit. And it looks really good to people, because anything lots of children support could only be good, right? Why do they even need school anymore, why should they even need to learn things as onerous as math and English, when all they need is their Democrat-granted “moral authority” as children to be “right” (politically correct) about any and every issue? Kind of an American erosion of Mao’s youth gangs, or Hitler’s children (Nazi youth were some of the most dangerous of all Nazi supporters, children being cruel, amd unable to fully grasp the weight of causing the death of others).
