Former Vice President Joe Biden is in the final stages of preparing for a 2020 presidential campaign that is expected to launch next month, according to multiple people familiar with his planning.
A formal kickoff is expected by mid-April and would all but cement the size and scope of the Democratic presidential field that currently stands at 12 formally declared candidates, two still in the formal exploratory stage and others still mulling a bid but waiting to see what the former veep might do.

Joe Biden’s in the final stages of dementia.
the headline says it all, now we just need a nice pic of him attacking one of those children with jeffrey epstein beside him
I think in light of the current crop, Biden wins the nomination.
I think it’ll be close. But I think Trump might be able to win that general.
(I freely admit, though I like opining, I don’t really have a clue lololollo)
Groping for a decision...
Is he stage 4..never mind.
getting a feel for the electorate
Joe Biden?
He lost any chance he may have had by letting HilLIARy run in 2016. And playing second-fiddle to Obama is a resume-killer for sure.
The D’s desperately need a sale-able candidate....
someone not smeared by the Obama/HilLIARy/SorozNazi $$$$$$ stain.
(and a little sanity and patriotism wouldn’t hurt the candidate, either...)
My fear is that Biden could win back the blue collar union midwest voter that felt ignored in the last election. He does not come accross as a left wing nut like the others, but would adhere to those policies as a good puppet once elected.
Patience people. ‘Ol Joe just got a new walker so it takes him a little time to make his way over to the phone to alert the media of his decision. But he’ll make it there eventually!
100%
All these other replies poking fun at him have no clue. We obsess about his oddities here but the average voter has no clue.
He connects with Blue Collar voters. He’s credentialed. And frankly, doesn’t look as old as he is. IF, he wins the nomination I think he’d be very, very formidable.
I’m just not sure if he wins the nomination. I think the Dems - ever more dominated by ultra left 18-29 year olds, want someone younger and probably not a man. Especially a white man.
And let’s face it, with some of the left wing nut cases in the field, and with the likes of AOC spouting off, Biden comes cross as a sensible moderate. That’s how I’d spin it if I were on his campaign.
A Clintonian (Bill) Moderate.
Is it his turn?
Biden is exceptionally good at retail politics. He can sit down at a table at a diner and make anyone feel like they’re seeing an old friend. He would also set the minds of so many older Democrat-leaning voters (many who voted for Trump but would be open to a non-socialist candidate) at ease. He’s the friendly candidate, the elder statesman, the voice of reason in a world gone insane.
All of those qualities are going to turn out to be liabilities for him in this political primary landscape. The organizers and activists don’t want any of that, and Ole Joe has never been good at large scale organizing, which is why he was successful in small state Deleware and a failure nationally.
So Biden is at the gym exercising his groping paws.
It isn't preparing for a 2020 presidential bid.
I agree with that.
And certainly from the human perspective, you can’t begrudge a man for what his family went through. Very sad indeed.
He is strangely likable.
Not like “her” at all.
Joe is currently 76 and his middle name is Robinette. That’s
the feminine diminutive of Robin, which is of ambiguous sexuality in the first place.
The DNC coach is looking at his bench, with Biden and a bunch of squabbling midgets sitting on it.
He's putting the gun to his head...
