Democratic Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) defended his colleague Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) by reasoning that she is higher than Jews on the pyramid of intersectionality. In an interview with The Hill on Wednesday, Clyburn trivialized Holocaust survivors when he implied that Omars time in a Kenyan refugee camp outweighed the experiences of Jews.
Her experience, Clyburn argued, is much more empirical and powerful than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during World War II and the other violent episodes that have marked history.
Im serious about that. There are people who tell me, Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors. My parents did this. Its more personal with her, Clyburn said. Ive talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.
Clyburn is the third-highest ranking Democrat in the House, who has shared a stage with the notorious anti-semite Louis Farrakhan. According to Clyburns logic, its OK to hate Jews if you rank higher than them on the hierarchy of victimhood. Omar is a Muslim woman who was born in Somalia and had to flee violence in her country, so Democrats believe her hate speech should be excused, while Holocaust survivors should sit quiet.

Rep. Ilhan Omar spent time in a Kenyan refugee camp?
What was she fleeing from?
What is the belief system of the perpetrators?
Why didn’t she flee to a Moslem country?
So what’s Clyburn’s excuse?
Right - the woman was so oppressed she had to flee all the way to the United States and become a Congresswoman. If anybody needs to check his or her privilege it’s the elitist creeps who populate Congress.
As a radical Muslim she fled from more radical Muslims and instead of fleeing to a slightly less radical Muslim country she fled to a non-muslim country because the gibs were better there.
Whatever the hell that is.
Two possible reasons:
“...people who are generations removed...”
So Clyburn also believes there should not be reparations paid to black people? Yeah, didn’t think so.
I guess maybe she was fleeing from those radical joos! Certainly she wasn’t fleeing other Islamic blacks.
“Hierarchy of victimhood”
That’s exactly correct.
The Grievance Machine is so large and well-oiled that there are multiple levels.
The more it goes on the more you are going to see cases like this.
Stick his fat ass in a concentration camp and starve him for a while and see how he feels and, whether he wants his ancestors to remember his pains. This kind of crap makes my blood boil.
There are still living Holocaust survivors. The end of Nazi Germany was less than 74 years ago.
So, maybe those demanding reparations for a slavery they didn’t experience personally should also check their privilege.
Pyramid of Intersectionality... Sounds like something a bunch of lubed up naked gymnasts do.
Reminds me of a 25-year old bit on the Howard Stern Show featuring klansman Daniel Carter.
Life imitationg "art."
I’m confused. What is the connection between her spending time in a Kenyan refugee camp and getting to use anti Semite tropes? Were the Jews the ones that put her in the camp? If we were to actually follow Clyburn’s logic to it’s conclusion, we would say she gets a pass for hating Muslims because they ruined her childhood.
She is an economic refugee. A full-blooded Islamic cult member bent on destroying the United States. She belongs in Gitmo, else deported.
And following his line of thought, guess they should drop all talk of reparations for African-Americans as the slavery of their ancestors is long removed from today. Besides, wouldn’t we be more responsive to offer repatriation if they’d prefer that to staying here in the United States?
“........Clyburn said. Ive talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”
NO you dumb SOB! SHE’s putting us through a lot of pain.
Well children of Holocaust survivors & victims are much closer to the catastrophe than blacks are to slavery. By this token, we should ignore blacks complaints about racism then.
