It has been a quarter-century since South Africans of all colors and creeds lined up with each other to patiently wait their turn to vote for their first government that was not dependent on brutal racial engineering.
In 1994 the country was a coiled spring ready to unleash enormous latent economic and human potential. As South West Africa became Namibia and the legal edifices of apartheid were swept away, South Africa suddenly had the opportunities and goodwill that had been denied it for the better part of 30 years.
All that promise is gone. South Africa has squandered its opportunities and is on the path to becoming a failed state. These are the top ten reasons, in no particular order, why South Africa is becoming the next Venezuela.

Why report this as “scary”? It’s been obvious for years. Plenty of time to get used to it.
Prediction: In twenty years or less, South Africa is a Chinese military and naval base, controlling the sea lanes around the Cape of Good Hope. Consider all the sea lanes for oil and manufactured goods going to Europe and the Americas and the goods and raw materials going east from those places. That’s scary.
How does it happen? Despite the racial hostility of the South Africans to the Chinese, the Chinese have the money to lend to repair the S.A. Infrastructure. The S.A. “Government,” aka “gang of thieves,” will eventually take the money. When they don’t repair the infrastructure and pay it back, the Chinese will “graciously” accept base concessions instead of cash.
What is really scary is that our “brilliant, highly educated” betters running things in Washington and Western Europe cannot conceive of a way to affect that outcome, having created it in the first place.
Nope. America turned a blind eye because the government of South Africa is black.
To criticize South African government is to be labeled a racist and risk ending your career.
At least, that was the way it was before Trump.
Mandela was a communist, and his spouse was a thug.
He had to work with the “white” remnants of the previous RSA regime because the Military and Constabulary police forces were well armed and overwhelmingly white at the time.
He also realized that there was likely a neo-Boer with a rifle waiting behind every rock on the roads to the townships, and to avoid the bloodshed of a Congo, a criminal enterprise like Zimbabwe, or permanent UN occupation by peacekeepers in the wake of the inevitable civil war.
They are well on the road to Zimbabwe, and the tipping point will be land redistribution...
All of this could have been avoided if it weren’t for Apartheid.
Genuine question: Is there a successful African country?

Look at the movie “Black Panther” They had to invent a fictional African Nation that was successful. No, South Africa needs to change. I say the Zulu Tribe needs to take over, with the help of Whites. Corruption is looting all that was good in South Africa. Whites were bad, true. Blacks worse and the Chinese will go from bad to worse. Chinese deathless robots will ensure murderous order—harsh inhuman and cruel once they move in. All I see is lots of folks and animals are going to die in the next decade.

Or call it whatever you want - the way that the flow of history is arranging matters indicates that Whites & Western Civ in general are well on the way to cultural and societal extinction, and all of that self imposed.

Strangely, the only countries rejecting - and fighting -
this slide seem to be Russia & China.
Were I in SA I would look at such countries as ones to flee.
I am teaching my children Russian, Japanese, and later, Chinese as 2nd languages.
They will more readily accept and reward those with technical & engineering skills who can also bridge a language divide.

All throughout Africa the tribe has held the lands for millions of years and will do so in the future. As long as the tribal monarchies are alive, this will be the the case.
The tribe? Functions very well as a societal socialist unit. That is why it ready merges with outside socialism and or Islam.
The unfortunate thing is this factor is shy africans and muslims cannot progress nor achieve success.
No one is allowed to rock the boat. If you pose a threat to their power structures, you get whacked. This means new ideas? nope. New leaders? Nope... Advancement? Nope.

(So the “high IQs” never evolve to become a significant percentage of the population!) Much better to lead & control a nation of deltas & gammas, then one of alphas!

The ANC didn’t have the money.
But they found a bunch of corrupt and greedy “whites” in South Africa and with some influential western firms, to turn their “black” virtue signalling into power and high profit for themselves. It just demonstrates how many Lefitsts are hypocrites about the “moneyed class” - their disdain of that class does not extend to themselves, the money is O.K. in their hands because their Leftist “virtue” says they “deserve” it.

Why can’t we just seal off the entire continent like that island off of india, then check back in a thousand years.

That was only made possible by a material that has downright magical properties.
Apartheid was always disgusting but putting a Communist in power in Mandela sealed the country’s fate. The ANC wants blood and they are getting it. Doom on the whites who stay. Doom on the blacks who are dirt poor and not black enough. South Africa used to be the most powerful African country in Africa economically and is now no better than a typical African sh*thole and is much more racist and violent as ever with black apartheid.
