Like I said ... you clearly have no idea what the word “fraud” means. If Juicy Smellitt has successfully carried out this hoax, were you going to lose any money or property in the process?

The people of Chicago and their police department lost money investigating a crime that did not occur, based on Smollitt's false statements to the CPD.

Like I said ... you clearly have no idea what the word “fraud” means.

One shouldn't pretend when confronting someone with a rather large library.

Black's Law Dictionary (7th Ed.) Definition #1 says: A knowing misrepresentation of the truth or concealment of a material fact to induce another to act to his or her detriment. * Fraud is usu a tort, but in some cases (esp. when the conduct is willful) it may be a crime.
