He conspired and contracted with others to deceive law enforcement, inducing authorities to incur considerable public expense pursuing suspected perpetrators of a fraudulent, staged 'attack' and causing unnecessary public fear to spread through the local community.
All the citizens who live in that neighborhood should sue Smollett, as well as all media outlets who spread these false rumors of hate crime perpetrators at large in their community, causing them irreparable fear, pain, suffering and emotional distress.
