CHICAGO -- Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx has recused herself from the investigation surrounding the alleged attack on "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett, her office told ABC News on Tuesday.
"Out of an abundance of caution, the decision to recuse herself was made to address potential questions of impartiality based upon familiarity with potential witnesses in the case," a spokeswoman told ABC News via email.

Either they’re going to bury this which I doubt or he’s going to be made into a victim either way. He will admit to it and blame it on mental illness - probably blame it on “Trump stress” - and the left will side with him, 100% guaranteed, and he will go on all the talk shows and cry and lefties will try to relate and talk about their “Trump stress” and pat his hand and hug.
Well that’s good. Too many eyes on this one for her to risk getting off to a bad start with a conflict of interest charge. This is no-win for the prosecutor, either you go easy and get the wrath of half the country or you play it straight like with any perp and catch hell from all your friends and political allies.

A law firm partner who asked not to be identified by name spoke with us about the federal problems ahead for whoever mailed the letter: “If they have Smollett on the letter, he’ll be facing ’terroristic hoax’ charges, a felony. There may be federal obstruction charges as well.”
All in all, the federal legal options are numerous: “If they want to bury him, they can.”

What you guys tried to do to Kavanaugh was a modern day lynching, and it wasn’t a hoax.
Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx has blamed her predecessor for an “error” that led to the release of a man murdered less than an hour after he left Cook County Jail
We were told in roll call in 007 that the surviving offender was charged with murder approved by the ASA only later the great office of Kim Foxxx denied the charges. Then the Chief of Detectives overturned them and charged him with murder again. You can only guess what’s going to happen in court. Ridiculous.
Kim has shown an unsurprising tendency to under-charge actual criminals. Our commentator relates that charges were approved overnight, then “un-approved” once Kimmie saw political hay to be made over the “Felony Murder Rule,” something we recall her or her people objecting to, even though it remains State Law.
