PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Sen. Kamala Harris told a crowd Monday that she would push for the federal government to rename Columbus Day Indigenous Peoples Day," a focal point for some progressives who say the holiday should emphasize the history of Native Americans instead of the European conquerer.
Sign me up, Harris said in response to a voter's question of whether she would support the initiative to rename the holiday. She spoke of her own efforts in the Senate to make lynching a federal crime.

If it has to be changed to satisfy the malcontents, why not “American Continent Day,” in which the history of both sides can be acknowledged without demeaning Indians or anti-white rancor?

Why the hell do we commemorate someone who sailed for Spain, never set foot in what is now the United States and has NOTHING to do with the founding of the United States? Oh yeah, the socialist FDR created the holiday as a sop to the Catlicks.
