OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said on Saturday she had made clear in a meeting with U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the Munich Security Conference the importance of the U.S. lifting tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada.
Freeland said that while Canada is now focused on its domestic ratification process for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade deal, it remains strongly opposed to the Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum.
The Canada position is now that we have concluded (USMCA) that is all the more reason why the tariffs must be lifted, she said on a conference call with reporters.

Tariffs are what happens when you don’t play right....hehehehe
LOL! As if Pewlosi will remember what you said? Oh, she’ll take your kick back check, cash it, but won’t remember.
pelosi and schumer may be feeling the trickling in of their irrelevancy.
Trickle down irrelevancy...
I like that...
Who is this idiot loser from hoser-land? Why is she negotiating with loser pe-louse-i? Hatch act???
Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland has been a disaster for Canada. She has tried to outsmart Trump and has lost. She has tried to outlast Trump and must now concede the new trade agreement. Canada is now the loser in metals, cars, and it can’t even get internal agreement on the use of its oil pipelines. In sum, Canada has slid back to the irrelevance it historically has enjoyed.
Pelosi ,the House Jester ?
Yes.. Yes she is..
Mexicans too.
Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland is the grand daughter of Ukrainian Nazi collaborator Michael Chomiak.
Canada has a lot of cheap electricity from their Hudson Bay hydro projects to do something with.
They wanted to sell it to Connecticut and Massachusetts, but the anti everything folks in NH put up such a stink against the power line, for now, and maybe forever the project is stopped.
Hatch act violation!!!
Good question.
“...tariffs must be lifted”. Must? And is the cheap aluminum and steel being produced in Canada or just passed along from China to go around tariffs?
