McCabe says Trump comments were taken out of context

**SNIP**

CBS reporter Scott Pelley, who interviewed McCabe for Sunday’s “60 Minutes,” said Thursday that McCabe told him using the 25th Amendment was discussed and that officials were “counting noses” — or speculating on who might support such an endeavor.

“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Pelley said.

“And the highest levels of American law enforcement were trying to figure out what to do with the president.”

In the interview, McCabe also confirmed that he took Rosenstein’s offer to wear a wire when meeting with Trump in the White House so seriously that he discussed the idea with agency lawyers.

the Steele Dossier named Manafort, Carter Page & Michael Cohen as Russian agents & was fed to the press & the Obama administration intelligence & law enforcement agencies. Does anybody really believe this was just an “unverified” dossier? The people who created it knew what they were doing & it seems obvious that the entire reason WHY the Steele Dossier was created was to be used exactly in the way it was used.......to spy on Trump, get into his lawyer’s records, get into his finances. This isn’t just a consequence of using the Dossier.....this was the purpose of creating the dossier exactly to be used in the way it is being used, including by a special counsel who has not been confirmed by the Senate & has no checks or balances on his unscrupulous & biased illegal use of power....like a rogue AG with even more power than the president of the USA.

If it was repeated by the MSM, there’s a 50/50 chance it was taken out of context.

The other half of the time it’s just made up.

Interesting that the spokeswoman felt the need to include “extended” in the denial. Does “extended” mean into the second week of discussion? Or multiple months? Or that he “quickly” ordered his minions to look into it and report back if it looked like a possibility?

Sounds like McCabe is offering to testify to avoid prison. However unless he has plenty of hard documented evidence it won’t work. His word alone is worthless.

“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Pelley said.

Well; let's see...

Amendment XXV

Section 1.

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2.

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Section 3.

Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Section 4.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Well; Trump hasn't resigned or died... Section 1

Trump hasn't sent any 'declaration'... Section 3

I see no indication that Pence is COLLUDING with 'a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body' now or in the future... Section 4

On one hand, I’d say McCabe is the biggest dumbass on the planet. Who the heck would admit openly on TV and in print that he committed a treasonous act against our government?

On the other hand — dumbassery aside — he knows he’s in the “protected class” and immune to any legal harm.

Still, though, he really doesn’t seem to be the brightest bulb in the socket...

McCabe must be forced to spill the names of all persons involved in “figuring out what to do with the President”. Next, interrogate each of them on every detail. McCabe has confessed to conspiracy.

It is no accident that Rosenstein crafted a Special Counsel investigation to distract from what they had been up to.

“At no time did Mr. McCabe participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions,”

A Clintonian parsing of words. How exactly are "extended" discussions different from just plain discussions? What does it mean when he says he was not "aware" of any such discussions? Does he mean "extended" discussions or any discussions at all?

Pelley will be forced to address this on Sunday given his remarks hyping the airing of the interview.

McCabe was stupid enough to mention the 25th Amendment and wearing of a wire. If this was all coming from Rosenstein, McCabe should have reported it to Sessions or the IG. He didn't because both Rosenstein and him were plotting a coup against a sitting President.

The mission of the Special Counsel has always been to verify the dossier, any part of it, in order to justify the treasonous actions of those involved in the coup attempt.

The Mueller investigation is using the dossier as a roadmap. I also have no doubt that Nellie Ohr was feeding information from US intel files to Steele who then fed them back. It would be interesting to learn what is in Trump's personal FBI file, which I believe was set up in 2011 when Trump forced Obama to release the long form of his BC, an electronic fraud. This passage from the dossier should set off alarm bells:

Speaking to a trusted compatriot in June 2016 sources A and B, a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure and a former top level Russian intelligence officer still active inside the Kremlin respectively, the Russian authorities had been cultivating and supporting US Republican presidential candidate, Donald TRUMP for at least 5 years. Source B asserted that the TRUMP operation was both supported and directed by Russian President Vladimir PUTIN. Its aim was to sow discord and disunity both within the US itself, but more especially within the Transatlantic alliance which was viewed as inimical to Russia’s interests. Source C, a senior Russian financial official said the Trump operation should be seen in terms of PUTIN’s desire to return to Nineteenth Century ‘Great Power’ politics anchored upon countries’ interests rather than the ideals-based international order established after World War Two. S/he had overheard PUTIN talking in this way to close associates on several occasions.

In terms of specifics, Source A confided that the Kremlin had been feeding TRUMP and his team valuable intelligence on his opponents, including Democratic presidential candidate Hillary CLINTON, for several years (see more below). This was confirmed by Source D, a close associate of TRUMP who had organized and managed his recent trips to Moscow, and who reported, also in June 2016, that this Russian intelligence had been “very helpful”. The Kremlin’s cultivation operation on TRUMP also had comprised offering him various lucrative real estate development business deals in Russia, especially in relation to the ongoing 2018 World Cup soccer tournament, However, so far, for reasons unknown, TRUMP had not taken up any of these.

Even if they put him before a court trial - which will never happen - it would be a hung jury. I am sure he got a phone call to tone it down. Everything is still in place. There will be no sacrificial lambs. McCabe just proved it.
