I don’t know if these folks are insane...or just dumb as a post.
They must truly hate money.

3 billion for 25,000 jobs is $120,000 per job. Most of the “subsidies” are scams on the taxpayer.

This had nothing to do with AOC, but she’s taking credit. It was strictly a business decision by Amazon seeing there were greener fields elsewhere and NYC wasn’t worth the hassle.
To: COUNTrecount
She’s nuts.
This must be more of her proposal to allow people who do not want to work, to continue on the dole.
How hopeless is that?

Maybe they will reconsider NC? NOT! We here in Raleigh and the surrounding Burbs have seen housing costs already go through the roof and our roads becoming little Atlanta or LA.

And now, OAC, you need to drive Wall Street and all those capitalist exploiters from your home state. That’ll show ‘em and make NY a much finer place to live.
Get to work on that as your next big project, along with the Green New Deal.

Cheers for AOC. She clearly is succeeding here - in providing no jobs for those unwilling to work.

Amazon wasn't going to be hiring too many poor people. At $120,000 to $150,000 per job, these weren't janitors they were looking to hire.
AOC picked the right fight here. The Amazon site wasn't in her district, but her constituents were going to pay the cost of making up all the lost tax revenues from the Amazon deal.

The jobs are one thing. The investment also brings in more businesses, more jobs and lots more collateral advantages.
