Which part of the Constitution mentions turning Leftist Wet Dreams into Congressional Legislation again?

This is what AOC meant when she said her agenda was all about getting a train pulled on her

“I never have to stop and wait for a 300 car airplane at the airplane crossing when I’m late for work.”

High speed passenger service requires eliminating grade crossings. Can’t have trainloads of people getting killed because some semi loaded with steel gets stuck while crossing the tracks.

Building bridges to eliminate grade crossings is just one of the many expensive upgrades that would be necessary.

“As the population of a region grows, the cost of acquiring real estate for a rail corridor is what makes a high-speed rail project prohibitively expensive.”

Too true. Regarding right-of-ways, NIMBY, weather, maintenance, and security the only solution for high speed rail is to build it like a subway - underground. The fly in the ointment is that tunneling technology has to increase the speed of tunnel advancement and greatly reduce the cost.

Oh, you’re going straight to h-e-double hockey sticks for that one!

You probably have to go there in a high speed rail or something.

I can't wait to go to Việt Nam by high speed rail. I never did like airplanes. I only fly when I go because the train doesn't yet go there and it is too far to hitchhike.

The full system would not begin operating until 2033.

They must have put pentagon acquisition experts on this project.

It's NEVER going to happen.

It's two years AFTER Occasional-Cortex ('AOC', or '*sshole of Color') predicted the world was going to end.

“Will calling her a retard not mean that those who voted for her are similarly retarded?”

Yes, they are. We really gotta get back to better voting roles.

This is not a green new deal. Its socialism. A bunch of elites sit in a room with your money and spend it while passing laws telling you what you can’t do.

Let me see, which is the older form of transport and the older transport paradigm (the concerptual system of how the mode of transport operates, open path, or fixef path) - trains, or planes??

So why the fixation on “high speed rail”? It is only to justify massive taxation for massive infrastructure build out of rail lines. And that will advance THE ECONOMY as opposed to all the current air transport services? It won’t.

I like train travel, and in some cases it is more convenient than air travel. But there is a definite ceiling on high-speed trains that don’t come close to air travel. For one - speed. 300MPH vs 600MPH.Not even close. And airplanes don’t need tracks, they can land anywhere.

must “build out high-speed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary.”

And just like that, Atlas Shrugged the Movie is not longer an anachronism.
