Author and Democratic presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson said in an interview Thursday she is running for the White House because America needs a "moral and spiritual awakening."
"We need a moral and spiritual awakening in the country," Williamson, who launched her campaign Monday in Los Angeles, said on CNN’s "New Day." "Nothing short of that is adequate to fundamentally change the patterns of our political dysfunction."

In the CNN interview, she also called for reparations for slavery, with $10 billion per year to be distributed over a decade.
"I believe $100 billion given to a council to apply this money to economic projects and educational projects of renewal for that population is a debt to be paid," she said.
$100 billion is just a down payment for the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, Booker, etc.
America needs a debt crisis. It needs to go bankrupt.
Its the only tonic that will discipline people, make them responsible, and limit government.
Not sure the country will ever see her kind of “reawakening” but fairly sure a great reckoning is coming. Then she and her ilk will be held accountable for the great harm they have done.
An American spiritual awakening would mean the end of Roe v Wade and the Democrat Party. Might be worth it.
Yeah; a Democrat calling for a spiritual awakening. Demons also can be classified as “spiritual” — although not in a good way.
Never mind that that even in the South less than 10% of the whites owned slaves. The overwhelming majority of “honkies” are NOT the descendants of slave owners, so why should we all be stuck with the bill? Oh, yeah, because we are evil honkies. How could I forget?

so now we’ve got the “spiritual counselor to Oprah Winfrey” running for president, i’d bet this one gets as many delegates as that mayor from SouthBendover, Indiana. Where are they getting these guys?
She means awakening like her spiritual student Oprah is awakened, not a Christian awakening.
Maybe the government should stop all forms of welfare and look to only reparations?

That debt crisis is coming, for sure. With the exception of Rand Paul, no one in DC (including Trump) cares about the ever-growing deficit.
But America won't go bankrupt. So the only other option is to print your way out of debt. That's what's going to happen. It'll be just like the Weimar Republic. The only question is when.
As an aside, I wonder who will be on the US one million dollar bill. I would suggest Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Or maybe Nancy Pelosi.

People need to be careful what they ask for. All hell breaks out first for that to happen.

Or, who anointed her to the point that what she believes cancels out what countless millions believe.
According to her, the application of what she believes achieves spiritual salvation.
She would transform us all into Oprah’s image.

Isn’t that the Dem agenda in a nutshell?
