A federal court is keeping documents justifying an FBI raid on a reportedly recognized whistleblower secret.
Attorneys and whistleblower advocates say the court should disclose whether prosecutors told the judge that Dennis Cain was a whistleblower.
A federal court refused to unseal government documents that permitted the FBI to raid the home of a reportedly recognized whistleblower who, according to his lawyer, delivered documents pertaining to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One to a presidentially appointed watchdog.
The U.S. District Court of Marylands Chief Magistrate Judge Beth P. Gesner, a Clinton appointee, also sealed her justification for keeping the documents secret in a single-page Dec. 20 order.
On Nov. 15, federal Magistrate Judge Stephanie Gallagher authorized the raid on Dennis Cains Union Bridge, Maryland, home. She sealed the government documents justifying it.
The Daily Caller News Foundation asked Gallagher on Nov. 29 to unseal the documents, noting that Cains attorney has said his client, a former employee of an FBI contractor, is a recognized whistleblower. The documents should be released in light of an urgent public interest surrounding the case, TheDCNF wrote. (EXCLUSIVE: FBI Raids Home Of Whistleblower On Clinton Foundation, Lawyer Says)
Attorneys and experts who defend government whistleblowers told TheDCNF the court should disclose whether prosecutors told Gallagher that Cain was a protected whistleblower under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act.
Cain enjoyed his whistleblower status as early as last summer when he handed over documents to Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, according to Cains lawyer, Michael Socarras. Horowitz instructed a top aide to personally hand-deliver the documents to the House and Senate intelligence committees, the attorney said.
The documents reportedly show that federal officials failed to investigate potential criminal activity regarding the Clinton Foundation and Rostam, the Russian company that purchased Uranium One.

The defacto Government of Clintons/Obama/Pelosi etc are showing their power and that they believe, and are acting as though they are still running the government operations....here in the US and on the International Scene.......because they are indeed operating as so behind the scenes.
yeah and he appointed an Agh who recused himself from his jG
Unless someone with the ability to clean house comes in and cleans up this cesspool of corruption, so once again equal justice under the law will prevail, I dont see a very bright future for this country.
Thats going to require the military...and someone who can use it.

He should have sent it to Wikileaks, and to several foreign news outlets.
Time to operate in a manner that ignores the law exactly the way the DC enemy is doing..

Senate may move to speed up judicial confirmations
Senate Republicans, frustrated with delay tactics by Democrats, may soon vote unilaterally to change the chamber rules in order to speed through President Trumps judicial nominations.
Republican lawmakers told the Washington Examiner they expect Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to call up a vote that would reduce the 30 hours of debate time
lawmakers can now expend before a vote to confirm a judge to the federal bench. more..
Trump renominated 51 the other day.

Yes, I understand that they were pending in the LAST Congress which never bother to be sure to complete the confirmation process. And, yes, I know that there were circumstances such as Flake and a smaller majority. How long will Lindsay and Mitch allow those to sit around pending confirmation because of INACTION?
But there are 166 vacant and soon to be vacant judgeships but only 53 nominees. Where are the nominees for the other 113 judgeships. We should NOT SETTLE FOR MEDIOCRE PERFORMANCE in getting these slots filled. Lets not brag about what we have accomplished; lets be motivated by how much we have NOT accomplished.
and are acting as though they are still running the government operations.
Pretty hard to come across evidence that theyre not...
He, like many others scrupulously follow the law...while the Stasi and the deep state it works for does absolutely anything it pleases.
We need to fight by the same rules.

Well, whats holding them up? Talk is indeed cheap.
I hear you. They are still confirming nominees for federal gov’t jobs when Trump was inaugurated from two years ago. How many people can wait two years to know whether or not they will have a job?
As Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Justice, President Trump could order the FBI to release all documents related to the raid.
But, he is not going to do that.
Agree!
He is lucky that he is still alive. It is a miracle that he has not has an “accident”.
If DJT can get the judges in and RBG is replaced in the near future, I’ll breathe more easily.
I have a feeling that a lot was happening during the ‘shutdown’ and the hammer is about to fall.
Having those FBI files was at the beginning of this. That was an impeachable offense, but the GOP just let them skate.
The corruption in DC is much deeper than most of us imagine. At one time I thought that the intelligence agencies would help monitor and ensure against this kind of corruption, but they appear to be deeply involved in it, and protecting the corrupt.
Trump has underestimated the positive impact on the country of putting Hillary in jail. His choice of Ans is not impressive. The clintons will die free and having gotten away with dozens of major crimes, not the least of which is starting a coup..
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Mueller-Comey-Wray Thug, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?
Of course, these creeps all live behind layers of protection. Getting to them is a serious issue.
“While the final contours of the current rules change effort are still being decided, it may mirror a proposal that cleared the Senate Rules Committee last April. That proposed change shrinks the post-filibuster debate time for most executive branch nominees from 30 hours to eight hours and does the same for district court picks from 30 hours to two hours. It does not change the 30 hours of debate time for more significant nominations to the Supreme Court, circuit courts and Cabinet posts. The change would not affect legislation.

Democrats employed similar debate limits when they were last in the majority, ending in 2015, as they pushed through Obama administration nominations. But that rules change — which had bipartisan support — lapsed when that session of Congress ended, which is why Republicans would need to push through the change now.”
Yes, too bad Roger Stone and Paul Manafort didn’t have a HUGE NANCY-WALL to protect their privacy.
