On Friday's Real Time show on HBO, host Bill Maher tore into Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann, deriding him as a "p**ck" and a "smirkface" who has a "s***-eating grin." He ended up making a pedophilia joke as he cracked that he doesn't know "what Catholic priests see in these kids."
After beginning his opening monlogue by making his latest attacks on President Donald Trump, he then segued to the controversy around video of Sandmann and Native American activist Nathan Phillips standing face to face amid a group of protesters while Phillips beat a drum.
In spite of video that surfaced later showing that it was Phillips who approached Sandmann and got in his face, Maher still blamed high school student Sandmann for their proximity as the HBO comedian made snide comments to supposedly poke fun at the story.

The young man Maher is making fun of is already someone Maher cannot be.......a man.
I think he probably got the crap beat out of him a lot in school.
Interesting to see who the real ‘adult’ is if one were to sit Maher & ‘the Kid’ down for a chat.
That lad handled the today show so well and the ‘kid’ was so smooth and articulate without a whole lot of ers and ums and yaknows and likes etc in his conversation.
‘cHief Walking Eagle’ said he was coached....Naturally, always pick on someone a tad bit more intelligent than yourself....SOMETIMES, it is just better to STFU and let people think you a fool prior opening mouth and proving them correct.
These folks are so out of touch with reality it’s really jaw dropping, I get the fact they are trying to create in some sense an alternative narrative, but nobody buys their shit anymore. It’s trivial these days for a reasonable, fair minded person to get some sense of the actual facts and come to his/her own conclusions. We don’t need these clowns to interpret current events. Never did, but it’s glaringly obvious now we’ve been thoroughly scammed for decades.
It begs the question anyway. Who gets to say this guy is a “tribal elder” anyway? Or a Viet Nam combat veteran? He ain’t my tribe. Who cares if he WAS a combat veteran (he wasn’t); that doesn’t give him some special right to act like a douchenozzle now.
Looks to me any objective, fair reading of his actions, he’s just a bum with a drum. F him. He is not representing “Native” Americans to me, I have too much respect for them to believe that for a second. What’s he been doing since 1974? There’s quite the gap in his dossier.
Near as I can tell the ONLY people who have been acting like Adults in this whole fecal festival are the Covington High School kids. Now that’s pretty damn sad. The Church “leaders” threw them under the bus the first chance they got, condemning them, yet helpfully allowing there will be “an investigation”.
So much for due process guys. Wankers. And then there’s the press. Warm welcome for Chief Runs With Freon. “And how are YOU doing”, yet grilling the students like a prosecutor. They aren’t called “fake news” for the hell of it.

No mater what the kid did, someone would find fault.
