The border wall pales in comparison to that failing by the Trump that I have come to know. When push comes to shove, Trump seems to be ushering in America’s darkest hour.

The issue though is that there is now not enough time left on the clock. Trump is now at real risk making the same mistake as Obama. He’s going to completely rely on executive actions to get things done. And the next president will just reverse everything. Emergency declarations need to be renewed every year. And we are probably going to blow this year due to months of litigation in the courts.
We are never going to get the wall built in one year. A wall would take a decade to build. If it isn’t being funded by Congress, it will never get completed.
fact is Trump caved in this battle. He may still win the war. But it was a resounding defeat for Trump. Once can argue it was a strategic retreat, but a retreat nonetheless.

No sooner did Trump cave then Nancy and Chuck made it perfectly clear that theyou would NEVER APPROVE FUNDING FOR ANY WALL. Chuck went so far as to then call Nancy "MADAME PRESIDENT"
Like I said; tell it to Nancy and Chuck, they are running the show and they know it.
It is easy to run for the hills away from the political front lines where Trump is battling.
Then if Trump triumphs later, they’ll rush back and say “Love ya, Trump. I was with you all along.”
That old folk tale that has the lines about a farmer needing his son to work but the son fell off a horse and broke his leg so couldn’t work. The farmer bemoaned his senseless bad fortune.
Then their political leader ordered a forced draft of all young males. The son was not drafted due to his leg. So all the other young men went to battle in a hopeless cause and were all slaughtered for nothing. The farmer’s son was spared. So a good thing.
God tests us all over the place. Note: A Bible commentary among the many from which I read daily said: God does not test evil ones. He only tests the good people. The reason: good people may improve on weakness and avoidance of temptation and be further blessed for good deeds and repentance but evil ones have the chance but are not expected to benefit from being tested.
The evil thus may appear to have wealth filled, powerful lives and find out in the next life that this brief life was a wasted opportunity.

I don’t know what he’s waiting for. If he doesn’t start using the power that he has, he will lose all his power. It could be that all he can do is tweet.
Trump gave up his leverage and putting the pressure on the Rats in the shut down fight. His actions speak louder than his words.
I also thought, according to Trump, the shut down was all about the wall. And now the shut down is not about the wall.
I sure hope the National emergency strategy works because that is all he has left (no pun intended).
Sean, I and many like me jumped up and down screaming for you to help us get George Bush to seal the border and get a handle on the illegal invasion in the months/years after 9/11. You hung up on us, yelled over us, cut us off, then refused to address the issue so as not to ‘hurt’ GWB.
Despite the indefensible position to support a President who refuses to do the right thing for America, you held fast to your RINO globalist ways.
