After President Donald Trump agreed on Friday to open the government for three weeks, Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) should just give the State of the Union address “since she’s obviously the one running the country.”

Pelosi cancelled Tuesday’s State of the Union address and said on Friday, after Trump decided to open the government on Democrats’ terms, that she and Trump still have to “discuss a mutually agreeable date.”

More like he put himself in the shoes of Border Patrol and Coast Guard members who weren't getting paid and thought their priorities were bigger than trying to one-up Pelosi.

Trump should stress that he twice made a proposal to keep paying the gov employees while the government was closed - and it was twice refused by the Dems.
That said, it does look like a coup has been carried out and it’s Presidrnt Pelosi. I hope he strikes back and regains the presidency, but he’s got no support and I’m not sure he can.
I knew he was really an old softy when right after the election President elect Trump sputtered this golden oldie “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t, She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways, and I am not looking to hurt them at all. The campaign was vicious.”

President Trump doesn’t seem to realize(despite all the evidence) that he is dealing with a vicious, ruthless pack of hyenas who will tear him from limb to limb the moment he shows the slightest weaknesses. He still thinks he is dealing with normal human beings. Does anyone think today’s well orchestrated Gestapo like arrest of Roger Stone only happened on the same day President Trump caved by accident?

They don’t CARE who the MExicans vote for. They only care if the cartel checks clear their accounts.
The vote yesterday told President Trump what we all already know, the republican senate would vote on a house bill to open the government without wall funding. I am also sure that if President Trump tried to drag out the shutdown they would have put a bill on his desk to open the govenment and had he veteod that bill they would’ve voted to override his veto. Essentially, the republican senate ended the shutdown. The President just made the announcement. President Trump could not have continued the shutdown even if he wanted to. Anybody who acts as if The President could have continued this shutdown is an idiot or stone cold liar!

Right. She got her wings clipped so she would be here to negotiate then like some kind of first term pol she lets the House go on a 3 day weekend when no deal has been reached. Now any agreement will have to wait till Monday. If you consider that leading; God help us.
