I mean, I’m not happy with Trump neither, but still, he is the Army we have.

The army has till next November. Hilllary walks free, coup leaders not arrested, his people dropping at the hands of an out-of-control prosecutor, out-of-control spending, sanctuary cities, public officials violating federal laws and not going to jail,

He has an A from on jobs and judges. If he can’t get a major work going on the wall, he fails one of his big ticket items. The dems will tie him up in court and so far he gives in to the judiciary on immigration and security.

I don’t decide on my vote 20 months before elections. I said, if you read, Trump has another 21 months.

Well I actually do not see this as fun and games...though we might make humor and get some laughs along the way these are quite serious times. Yes, it's a heck of a balancing act to take on major issues and threats, fight with Congress as that's what they want, and keep the nations people stable as possible. But it's not impossible. Just a lot of hard driving work and we have the right man at the helm. This is what restoring a nation, with enemies within, and enemies without looks like.

I’ll write in Mickey mouse before I vote for someone who is rhetoric. 21 months remaining and counting and court up ahead. pelosi in the driver’s seat. The long the waits to declare the emergency, the less likely m amor work will be done.

The abuse and threats to his family and friends. Damage to his property, slander, not to mention the daily stresses of the job....
=========

OMG you sound like a snowflake. If Trump was so foolish as to not understand and accept the risks of the job, he should have not taken it.

I tell ya, that daily stress sounds terrible.....

It's fools like you who will accept his failure when victory was at hand, if he had the nuts to seize it.

Gotta give em credit, for the most part those Ds stick together a hell of a lot better than Rs do.

At the very least the SC picks got passed easily.

That will last decades if they turn out to be true conservatives till the end.

Where I’m concerned is three weeks from now, when there is nothing to our satisfaction achieved. Say he shuts the government down partially again, and we he go another 30 days. Why wouldn’t he decide that federal employees are “suffering too much”, and just give them back pay again? He’s already set the precedent for it once. What is his Trump card (no pun inteneded) if there is no satisfactory bargain? Let me put it another way...why should any Dem-politician fear Trump now after this latest maneuver? It does not seem to be a move from a position of advantage.

If the problem is so serious, why wait?

It’s going to lead many to believe now that the problem isn’t all that serious.

[And eventually we will lose him. What then?]
No kidding. And there won’t be another like him.
How he has stood up to the daily assault of the liberals and their media whores is beyond me.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////
I will never be shaken from the belief that God gave us Donald Trump.
The uncanny way he fought off 16 financially supported and insider politicians and get his name on primary ballots and then to somehow gather the convention votes for the nomination was astounding and unprecedented.

He was opposed by the media, TV,Hollywood and all of academia before the inauguration. He never got the “honeymoon” of a few bipartisan bills passed in Congress and the gentle interviews where all Americans unite for a little while behind “our President.” They even said “Not My President.” And marched, swore at him and burned cars in the street.

As I heard once, if true that Trump gets 90% (or 94% or 95%) negative coverage in the media, how would any of us survive if everything we said or did at home and at work was, picked on, criticized, opposed and attacked 90% of the time. All day every day all year long. Trump does it.

There isn’t “another Donald Trump” any more than another Bob Dylan,Frank Sinatra, Winston Churchill, John Wayne or John F. Kennedy. This is our one time to have him and it’s up to us to work to do the most good with God’s loan to us of Trump.

I am not going to abandon him.

I am with Trump all the way.

Real confrontation with the DemComs has only just begun. It's been sniping in the past, but no more. I among others have been waiting for this. Secondly, no large issue with a lot of moving parts is ever settled in one or two moves. Ever. That's not how the world works. It's a process and it's not fast, so those out there who are expecting quick gratification are not going to get it. And there's more than just a "wall" in play - I detected that long ago. People like to say that the DemComs when "given an inch, they take a mile" - true, but so does Trump. That's why there's such a battle - each side actually wants more than what they are openly professing. It's political brinkmanship publicly in play for all to see, and even learn from if so inclined. You don't seem to be someone who has had a lot of broad experiences in life, so all these sort of machinations must be very overwhelming to you.

We need a wall from sea to sea. I’m not settling for excuses, and nobody else I know is. We expect a wall, and we better get one.

The reason I supported and argued for the president very early on in the campaign was this idea of the wall and that Mr. Trump pointed out two of the major problems preventing America from being the country we remember 1) Poor leadership 2) Political correctness. He eloquently made the argument that we were being had by corrupt uniparty deep state elitests and then silenced and shamed about addressing any of the repulsive consequences of liberalism via a form of self-censureship

Mr. Trump then went on to accurately describe the ugly blow back from illegal immigration - then he did something that was totally unexpected he proposed a real solution to the problem - as in hey thats fixed what was a big deal no worries its fixed. Whats more is it seemed like a very plausible straight forward attempt to solve a real problem, and it seemed once he broke it down very doable, I mean who really wants to put a fence it seems like a lot of work but once you get to it before long you have a fence around your house and you get the benefits for years to come.

The reaction from the establishment was and has been to this day a conniption fit never seen in size and scope of all of recorded human history. That the citizens of this nation should secure and defend its borders and not just let anyone who pleases willy nilly there ass in here, is such a controversial issue so opened the eyes either consciously or subconsciously of enough people that a first time for anything candidate jumped out from a crowded field and was able to secure the presidency.

Just like he did by identifying two of the biggest problems 1) Poor/corrupt leadership 2) Political Correctness he brought attention to another of our biggest problems - securing the border.

This is the issue that resonated and propelled him through the primary, general into the Whitehouse and it is because illegal immigration, human trafficking, slavery, drugs, terrorists sneaking in are truly real and significant problems its not like president Trump made this up.

President Trump is where he is because he promised to be tough on border security and his solution was a wall. This is the deal we made with a rookie politician - We are going to build a wall ... and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Most of us on this board are pretty cynical at best when it comes to politicians if not you should be what threads are you reading? We understand maybe Mexico won't pay for the wall, it was great political theater watching the libs go ape and so what if we pay for it and it works at least we would have fixed this border problem - hell I think most of us agree that the wall will go a long way to fixing the problem but there is still going to be work to be done. That work is going to be easier once we have the wall.

There has been a steady erosion of the idea of a great big beautiful wall from sea to shining sea - from 20.1 billion dollars - we can spend trillions on shithole countries like Afganistan but we can't find 20 billion for our defense - really. Then we were down to 5.7 billion now we aren't getting anything. An extraordinary measure is going to be needed in the form of a presidential declared national state of emergency to do something the American people have been needing/wanting since 1986.

We get it that he is alone against these globalists that was the plan - he wasn't bought - and he knew just what a bunch of wanker losers they all are just as we see them. This border security via a wall is something that if it was truly desired to fix the problem they'd have done it - none of them want the wall.

Further we know the gist of why 1) Votes 2) Cheap Labor. We wanted a wall we voted for a wall Trump promised the wall - this is his biggest campaign promise it embodies so much - It embodies keep faith that our government is on ourside and is beholden to the governed - its a physical solution to a real problem and a huge achievement by the person who is able to say "Fixed It".

What I heard from the president today didn't sound like the wall that we were sold on - one that would work. Further he stopped the shutdown, got no money and will have declare a state of emergency. Otherwise he reneges on the core of his presidency, base, issues and its all over. I don't want it to be all over - I want my wall damn it wah!

Hey Sam, ltns. Glad to see your post. Lest anyone think I don't support my President 100%, I absolutely do! I disagree with him taking this tack however, and I think he surrendered his leverage.

As I said in a previous post, his threat today to declare a national emergency if he doesn't get funding for the wall is really moot at this point. Schumer and Pelosi have someone camped outside the 9th Circus Court of Appeals just ready to file the lawsuit to stop our President should he declare the emergency (and btw, I believe our sorely inadequate border defenses on the Southern Border are inexcusable.)

Also, as I said earlier if the Republicans in the House and Senate really backed this President, funding would've been passed LONG AGO when we had the House, Senate and White House. That tells me the Republican's really don't want border security, they want the "issue" to campaign with and that's the same b.s. tactic the Democrats use.

I'm sorry to say I think our President is hosed on this issue. He lost. He "trusted" the Democrats to bargain in good faith and we all know the Democrats don't bargain and they don't know the meaning of "good faith."

I back our President, still proud to have voted for him and will do again in 2020, just think he lost on this issue. Makes me sad.
