Another brutal day for journalism.
Gannett began slashing jobs all across the country Wednesday in a cost-cutting move that was anticipated even before the recent news that a hedge-fund company was planning to buy the chain.
The cuts were not minor

Journalists? If they were actual journalists there were about 3 at most.

This is a sign, a secondary confirmation that propaganda money spigots are being turned off.
It’s a good sign. It means the Trump movement is winning the war of financial siege because the fake news network is nearly entirely propped up by anti-American leftists funding it via paths leading to groups next to central banks.

I can see that there will be a whole lot more press layoffs. All they need is 10,000 monkeys typing:
Trump bad.
Trump liar.
Trump colludes.
Trump .....
That is all they have to say now and it is costing them a whole lot more than the monkeys would.

I’ve long thought that a news network that actually specialized in hard news would be a massive success in this era of “opinion networks” like CNN. Every second of every day there is a dramatic breaking story going on somewhere in the world, complete with live video the news network could just tap into while the story develops. Real ACTUAL live news. What a concept.

I guess the government closure has halted the DOJ cash infusions to the reporters and media moguls in exchange for reading scripts from Brennan and Clapper.

“Another brutal day for journalism.”
In my view, there can never be enough brutality with the lying traitors of the media.

"
What....are they getting ready to be state run, or something?"
Maybe we'll see a lobbying campaign to "save independent media" by putting them all on the Federal teat like PBS and NPR.
If not that, they'll think of some other way to channel Federal cash to the failed propaganda rags so they can save enough positions to reward faithful campaign workers with.

This is shocking news. I had no idea Gannett had journalists on the payroll. Bingo.
