As someone who practices a lot of domestic relations law, I respectfully disagree. The system is bad as it is. Removing sunlight, the best disinfectant, from it, would make it horrific.

In 2016 no states split their tickets Pres/Senate. If Trump wins Iowa she’ll win.
I like Pence. Of the choices Trump seemed to be considering, he was easily the best. My only complaint is I think he’s too nice, thank God he’s there as a spare tire but I don’t know about him as a successor.
As for Ernst, sad story. I don’t know if she’d have been selected but it’s sad for her if her version of events is accurate.

There are some, including Richard Baris, who think he’s a bad actor.
I don’t see it. He has said nothing but positive things about every one of Trump’s programs, has been as supportive as any veep. I agree, he’s just too nice to be president. But I pray that his faith continues to shape and inform Trump. As long as Trump has God, and those bible studies are going on, I don’t think anyone or anything can harm him.

She's far, far better than any DemocRAT would be. That might be the nicest thing I can say about her.
When she flew to AZ to stump for Jeff The Flake (during primary season, before he decided to call it quits), that pretty much cemented her place in my mind.
