The operative word is citizen. Section one grants citizenship to anyone born in this country that is under our jurisdiction. It is not limited to slaves.

Children born to illegal aliens are given birth certificates ILLEGALLY by our corrupt stasi state. What’s that got to do with anything?

Sorry, but it is not illegal and is done every day and every hour throughout the country. Kamala is not even the child of illegal aliens.

Children born to foreign nationals, whether here legally or illegally, are CINOs. Citizens in name only. Court created or created out of whole cloth by the bureaucracy. Congress is the only entity under the Constitution given authority to naturalize.

Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one. In the real world where I live, birthright citizenship is the law of the land. It needs to be changed, but saying it is illegal is just plain wrong. Deal with it.

You are arguing that Ark was born a naturalized citizen, when he war born on U.S. soil. That doesn't make any sense.

This is why we needed to pass laws at both state and federal level requiring verification procedures prior to being on a ballot, and clarifying the natural born requirements.

Failure to do so, and the courts won’t touch it, especially if it’s a minority member.

‘Subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ means owing no other allegiance than the U.S. (stateless slaves)

Why would the authors of the 14th want to naturalize whole swaths of foreigners, illegals, etc for perpetuity under an Amendment when the Congress has the power to naturalize?

That’s right, they wouldn’t.

US code referring to the 14th amendment. Sorry, no sale

LOL. You are madder than a March hare. I have issued passports based on US Code. You are denying reality. Birthright citizenship exists, sale or no sale. You have no say over the matter.

Anyone that is not a natural born Citizen(born to U.S. citizen parents on U.S. soil) is a naturalized citizen under positive law. There is no positive law that makes Ark a citizen. SCROTUS got it dead wrong.

I do not disagree with your view of the XIV Amendment. However your and my opinions do not have the force of law in the United States.

We’ve been over this. This is how lawless ‘our’ fed govt has become. Issuing birth certificates to children born to illegal aliens just because they wanted to...

What a country, eh?

it would not be ‘ruled’ on correctly because of the O’muslim usurper, Barry Hussein Osama.

I do not “know” any such thing. The Usurper will be brought down and in case you haven’t bothered to notice, Trump is doing a good job annulling Hussein’s “Legacy.”

“So begins the billions of wasted Keystrokes. We already know what she is and what she isn’t. It is of no consequence.”

Billions upon billions upon billions of keystrokes signifying nothing in the end.

The water went under this bridge a long time ago. I don’t care if you were born on Mars of two Martian citizens, if they get the votes they’re walking into the White House as president. We descended from Constitutional Republic to mob rule democracy awhile ago. Hell, we’ve already had eight years of an “ineligible” in the White House. The horse is out of the barn and the barn is burned down. I don’t care who the Marxist Party puts up, you are going to have to defeat them. Nothing or no one is going to jump in and stop it from happening.

I would be pleasantly surprised if that happened. I’m a little cynical these days ;)

Regardless of the purpose behind the 14th Amendment it does say that people who were born in the United States are, with few specific exceptions, citizens of the U.S.
…………………………………………………………….

CITIZEN AND NATURAL BORN CITIZEN ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!
The 14th deals with slaves being made whole persons. PERIOD!
Also please note that the 14th DID NOT INCLUDE NATIVE AMERICANS!

It doesn’t matter what you think.

Think? Are you saying that the 14th Amendment doesn't say that people born in the U.S. are, with few exceptions, U.S. citizens?

Ain’t that the truth. Except now, the republicans have to overcome illegal and fraudulent vote totals from the rat party to the tune of 10-15%.

All out lawlessness...how long before we have the rapid unraveling?

There are statutes and case law rulings in California pertaining to ballot eligibility, and Kamala’s is at this point open to question (and possibly to a complaint or a formal lawsuit).

Kamala’s strength as a candidate is her “favorite son” status in California. But her weakness is that documentation of her life also exists within California, so authorized officials can easily access records pertinent to her eligibility.

Pursuit of that process, is what could lead to a drive for legislation which would place the burden of proof of eligibility on the candidate (pro-actively), rather then citizen activists (retroactively, as has been done since 2008).

If that disqualifies her I’m in trouble. Born in New York to two Canadian who didn’t get their US citizenship until I was 5. Oops!
