Over the past 24 hours, journalists and public figures on Twitter have deleted previous posts slamming a group of MAGA hat-wearing teens for allegedly taunting a Native American vet, after more footage was released disputing the initial story. From CNN’s Jake Tapper to Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams, many on the internet are sharing a fuller explanation of the initial viral story. Others, however, are very subtly just using the ‘delete’ button.

His use of the words “Marine” and “Ranger” and “Recon” together seems highly suspect, since the Rangers are Army. The USMC has “Recon” but not “Ranger” designations, so far as I’ve ever heard (correction welcome if this is wrong).

Also, since he would have been 17-18 yrs. old at the very end of the Vietnam period, the time frame should be researched to see whether he has lied about combat service (I have not tried to review all of his public statements and interviews, just raising the questions). He may well have been in stateside training when US combat forces were withdrawn from Vietnam, because he would have just turned 17 as the US military involvement was about to end. Research needed.

He may have served but not been in the combat theater (ala Dick Blumenthal).... or is it possible he never was in the military at all??? He would NOT be too likely to mangle his service details if he had actually served, would he? Ofc it is possible that ignorant churnalists are the ones who have bungled references to his military service.

The case definitely calls for research to know if the guy is what he claims to be.

yeah, good one! “Marine Recon Ranger” sounds just as suspect, though it’s possible that it’s the journalists who are bungling the terms.... anyway it’s worth finding out since this guy is trying to destroy these young people for wearing a “MAGA” hat.

Nixon stopped the draft in 1974. I was of age then. I’m 62 now. If the Injun says he’s 60, he’s lying about serving in Vietman unless he enlisted and chose to go in country, which is doubtful because troops were being pulled out at that time.
