The University of Notre Dame is set to cover a series of historic Christopher Columbus murals prominently displayed in a central building on campus.
Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins announced Sunday that Columbuss arrival to the new world was nothing short of a catastrophe for the native peoples.

A bigger concern for ND would be to solve how Clemson demoted “Touchdown Jesus” to “Field Goal Jesus.”
History tells us that the arrival of muzzies was nothing short of a catastrophe for the native peoples of the lands they invaded, killing all the men, babies and old people, raping the women and taking children and women as slaves.
Someone once took DNA samples from various Indian tribes around America and it was discovered they all had genetic markers indicating their ancestors were from Uzbekistan, Kazakstan, and all those other “stans” that, prior to 1991, were called Soviet Central Asia.
Others had genetic markers linking their ancestors to the coast of China.
The Aleutian Islands in what is now Alaska was once a land bridge connecting Asia to the Americas, and that’s how these First Peoples came to this hemisphere.
Their ancestors were here long before the ancestors of European Americans, but they are neither native nor indigenous. First Peoples, yes.
This blind hatred of Western civilization has got to stop.
Reality versus SJW BS.
“So the president of a Catholic University views the spread of Catholicism as a catastrophe...Sounds like he wants to run for pope.”
Hating the spread of superior culture is like hating the rain or winter. It is an earthly phenomenon to be accepted for what it is.
And not just earthly. If a superior culture (and technology) arrives from another planet or galaxy, it will also dominate for such is life.
One may as well whine about gravity.
BTW, if you want to save and savor some elements of your inferior culture, such is usually not frowned upon.
Hopefully the alumni will withhold contributions.
Ironic since he was helping spread catholicism
didn’t they remove crosses when Obama, the muslim abortionist spoke
Would the Knights of Columbus have to conceal their name?
MEMO TO MARK: They have not won yet. And we are not yet angry enough to defend our selves, art, way of life, culture, and history. I hope we get aroused soon. The sooner we put a stop to the vandals, the better.
Those native peoples killed my ancestors so what should be done about them?
FWIW there were no "native peoples" in North and South America. They were migrants who came over the Siberian land bridge 20,000 years ago.
Who were killing, raping, enslaving and plundering each other before the Spanish came to kill, rape, enslave and plunder them...........
I was in grad school there when Ronald Reagan visited to commemorate the release of the Knute Rockne stamp. Some proto-SJWs staged a protest about some BS thing but they were few. The vast majority were enthralled by his oration. It was epic. I can’t find a link to it today. It has vanished down the memory hole.
Now? For the most part, they are liberal fools. They receive no support from me.
Mark Steyn speaks at "The Danish Muhammad cartoon crisis in retrospect" conference
Steyn makes the case when we're attacked (western civilization) we capitulate to the demands of the terrorists.
After 9/11 we were told they hate us because of our freedoms.
What was our response? More immigration from Muslim countries.
They may have not won (yet) but they're moving in that direction.
They win these little battles because they know we'll always capitulate.
They should have to pay you reparations!
Notre Dame is a private, religious university. Why can't they tell the people who don't like the murals THEY DON'T HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL THERE?
Maybe a crescent moon and star?
