Pelosi and Schumer keep digging their hole: In their vile hatred and stupidity, they got played

By pre-emptively rejecting President Trump's reasonable plan, Democrats have proven they do not really care about:
(a) the 800,000 government workers not getting paychecks that theyve been whining about, and
(b) the million DACA recipients.
They have also shown they have no willingness to work with the President to end this shutdown. He didnt even have to play them; in their vile hatred and stupidity, they played themselves, and they officially own it now.
In the meantime, Latinos are increasingly rallying to the president's side, according to a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, which notes that 50 percent of Latinos surveyed approve of the job Trump is doing, a 19-point increase from December of last year.
If this holds, it strengthens Trump's hand in negotiations and puts him in position to add Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada to his win column in 2020.

Latinos have never been the monolithic voting block like the blacks.

“Dont forget that those 800,000 federal employees are considered non-essential.”
During a Clinton shut-down, he floated the idea that he, too, would not go to work, you know, solidarity with the “non-essentials.”
His staff and advisers went ballistic, “How can you think that? By doing that you are telling the American people that you are NON-ESSENTIAL!!”

You are 100% correct. The wall is to delay and this allows the BP to respond and be there before illegals and drug smugglers scale or get too far.

“I like the ones with the tube across the top.
NOTHING to get a purchase on.”
I visited Berlin back in 1971 when the wall was still up. The old wall was made of brick. The top surface was flat with shards of glass cemented into it.
The new wall was much taller, made of solid cement with a rounded top like you see in one of the samples...the “tube” on top. They said there was no way of gripping it to climb over. When I saw the one in the photo, I thought of East Berlin.

Dont forget that those 800,000 federal employees are considered non-essential. 400,000 non-essential and superfluous. I know some of those. But the others are considered essential although that can be debated. We have a federal TSA and ATC and unless those are privatized those workers are necessary.

They are not only insane, I’ wondering if they are on “the take”. After the former President of Mexico was bribed by ElChapo for 100 million, nothing would surprise me. These people are sooo fixed on sanctuary cities and states and open borders.

Have Latinos left the welfare plantation?
Hispanics came to the US to live in the US - not to live in a copy of the failed states they came from. They also respect strength in leaders - milk-sops like Romney will never get the Hispanic vote. I hope the GOP is paying attention and at least some of them are learning.

Those would be very fast and easy to clear for moderately physically fit people with grappling hooks and knotted ropes. I've done it. The barriers that were chosen by the Army, the Border Patrol and engineers are the best for the purpose.
And yes, I saw the leftist story about saws being used to cut through steel tubing and grout. There were omissions in that story. It was fake news in essence. I've also done construction work with concrete and steel.

"PICK ONE ...."
Whichever barriers are chosen by combat engineers, the Border Patrol and others already involved in doing it--that is, men who do real, related work for a living.

The barrel one. Trump should start spreading the rumor that the tubes will be connected and we’ll use the resulting pipeline to ship Mexican oil to Houston refineries to pay for the wall, and the tubes will have small pin holes to keep it permanently greased. Make it even harder to scale.

"They have been using drones to fly drugs over them. I like the BP being able to see."
Agreed. That's very important. The chosen design is the best one for now, and it will sufficiently delay anyone trying to get over or through it. Any wall can be quickly cleared or breached. Thick concrete, which would require forms and unobtainable amounts of expensive resources in short supply, would be the most expensive and slowest to build by far.
But yeah, it would look so cool and Medieval, as seen in virtual architecture in the video games. And it would the first material to occur to those who are great civil engineers in their own minds. And then there's stone: the stuff of ancient empires with millions of abused, dying slaves. ;-D
We live in a time with many Internet users who've spent much of their lives as consumers of television and all that it has to take.

“The Great Wall of China comes to mind.”
Yeah, now insulate it and run 21KV through it. The nice part about it is that the electrocuted corpses will fall back into Mexico. We need to treat what is happening on our southern border like an invading army, and we need to make it clear to AMLO that he won’t like what’s coming if he and his government don’t stop these caravans at their southern border.
