Democrats immediately rejected President Donald Trump’s offer of a work-permit amnesty for one million registered migrants in exchange for 230 miles of new border wall.
The rejection came even though Trump’s offer angered his base by trading a DACA temporary amnesty for a wall.
Also, Trump did not ask for the reform of the many catch-and-release rules which allow the cartels to profitably smuggle hundreds of thousands of poor migrants into the U.S. labor market, welfare rolls, and U.S. K-12 schools.
The speech came after Trump had offered a series of smaller concessions in closed-door negotiations since Christmas.
Democrats quickly dismissed the amnesty offer.
Sen. Chuck Schumer also rejected the compromise, saying, “offering some protections back in exchange for the wall is not a compromise but more hostage taking.

If they don’t have a green card/work permit, they will be just sitting around on their asses, and I certainly don’t want that-I want them working and paying taxes like every green card I’ve ever hired or worked with in construction. Also, to get a work permit/green card, you can’t have a criminal record-if you lie about it and get caught, you get picked up by la migra and taken back across the border-I’ve seen that happen at work a time or two-they will almost always get caught when their I-9 is checked out.
When 9-11 happened, the company I work for lost 4 of the 5 green card skilled laborers we had working-they went right to the Army and Air Force recruiting offices and took the oath-gave us a week’s notice before they shipped out to basic. They were all young guys-19 to maybe 25, and all spoke passable English, too-we do not hire mojados and we don’t work with any contractor who does-plenty of citizens and green cards do skilled construction labor out here...

He has plenary authority under the Constitution and an obligation to protect the states from invasion.

Trump should NOW say:
“The Democrats have no interest in securing our border, protecting our neighborhoods, or protecting the hard won gains that our Latino American, AND African Americans have made in securing jobs. The 800,000 federal employees are a pawn in their sick game. I am done with games. ANY agreement I sign will now have to include $10 Billion Dollars for a border wall and increased border security. I will be in the White House continuing my wait for the Democrats. Perhaps when they are back from their beach vacations they will do something.”

So he gave the Dems a bridge to retreat on with dignity, which they rejected. Supposedly his book on negotiations states this as a major thing that must be done in negotiations with the enemy. He also told the Dems exactly what happens next if they do not accept.
For mindless Americans, he looks like he is willing to negotiate and bend. It give him the moral ability to drop the military builds the wall hammer at the end of the week. Monday he is past the 30 day shutdown mark and can fire gov. employees. Dems have been outplayed all around, they either negotiate and a wall happens or they do not and a real wall happens. No matter what he can do what he wants with the firing of gov. employees.
Isn’t Monday the day when the “non-essential” personnel can be dismissed, permanently?

I hope Trump can move money around and keep TSA, Parks, coast guard, food stamps, passports going. He should keep the government in partial shutdown indefinitely. So what if Trump issues executive orders to move money around so that important services are funded. He could even let the food stamp program dry up for a couple days and then issue the order. Let the leftist judge block him and let’s see how that goes down with the public.
But I don’t care if most of the people at agencies like FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, State, IRS, EPA, education ever get paid again. These agencies need to be radically cut anyways. The people that work there are big government boosters openly resisting Trumps deregulatory agenda. They are parasites and a scourge on the people.

What reasonable American can now say Trump was rigidly right wing and hyper extreme? He was conciliatory and they should (I said should) say: “Dems, why don’t you give in a little if he gave in a little?”
How can the leftist media twist and spin this as “Trump was more like Hitler today than ever” and “Trump is incredibly heartlessly cruel to children immigrants as he always is”?

I’d be all in for Pres Trump pretty much chopping/eliminating the EPA-let the forest service, fish and wildlife services, etc take over that stuff- close down Department of Education, most of the FDA and cut the IRS in half-then do to the TSA what Reagan did to the air traffic controllers-privatize them-just think of all the tax money that would save...
