Pelosi Statement on Trump Speech

San Francisco — Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement in advance of the President’s address:
“Democrats were hopeful that the President was finally willing to re-open government and proceed with a much-needed discussion to protect the border.
“Unfortunately, initial reports make clear that his proposal is a compilation of several previously rejected initiatives, each of which is unacceptable and in total, do not represent a good faith effort to restore certainty to people’s lives. It is unlikely that any one of these provisions alone would pass the House, and taken together, they are a non-starter. For one thing, this proposal does not include the permanent solution for the Dreamers and TPS recipients that our country needs and supports.
“Democrats support smart, effective border security solutions:
Increased infrastructure investments at our ports of entry including additional ports and roads;
Advanced technology to scan for drugs, weapons and contraband where the vast majority of drugs come in to our country and advanced technology to detect unauthorized crossings;
More customs personnel including filling the more than 3,000 customs and border patrol vacancies; and
More immigration judges.
“Next week, Democrats will pass a package of six bills agreed to by House and Senate negotiators and other legislation to re-open government so that we can fully negotiate on border security proposals.
“The President must sign these bills to re-open government immediately and stop holding the American people hostage with this senseless shutdown. Each day he prolongs this needless crisis, Coast Guardsmen, FBI agents, border patrol officers, TSA agents, and hundreds of thousands more workers are forced to live without knowing how they can feed their families or pay their bills.
“The President has taken pride in shutting down government. Now, he must take action to open up government.”
Seriously, they actually didn’t listen and per their plan, no matter how demented Pelozi’s statement was well-written, and it wouldn’t have mattered what PDJT said. They have placed their best, and I believe they have underestimated PDJT to their demise.
Those females don’t ever forget and they don’t ever lay it aside and be civil..
Quit trying to meet her demands.. the fact you are asking and trying, gives her satisfaction... that’s part of the revenge. Walk away and leave her in her anger and hate.. do whatever you have to do in spite of her. Don’t ask, don’t offer and don’t apologize.

Reno, haven’t you been on several threads trashing Trump?
She has herself in a pickle. President Trump made a GREAT deal, she probably didn’t even listen to it.

I’m pretty sure Trump implied that he would go around Nancy straight to the rank and file if necessary.
Trump didn’t offer it either. You should probably read what he actually said. He offered three years of “legislative relief” for DACA. The SCOTUS won’t hear the case until next year at the earliest so he isn’t offering much that isn’t going to happen anyways.
Nancy won’t talk until Trump opens up the gov’t.
They want Trump to roll over, open the gubmint, then rick-roll Trump on the wall. Trump offered 3 years DACA, they want it permanent. Nancy “Schumer’s Tumor” Pelosi doesn’t know how to negotiate or say yes.
What will the majority of the American people say? New polls will be important.
If the American people (not counting 62,979,636 Trump voters and the good people on Free Republic) do not support our President, then they are not worth caring about.
There will be no end of migration from all over the world if we have no borders! And all on our welfare and health care.
As Michael Savage (who worked to preserve Borders,Language and Culture decades ago) said: our American lifeboat is now full and any more new aliens jumping into it will sink it.

Pelosi was saying Trump wouldn’t negotiate,,,,then how did they come up with these failed initiatives?
Trump should point out how much she spends on her private guberment paid vacation. 2 mil is almost 1/2 the wall. If these figures were out in the open what would it make her look like to the average Joe and Jill?
Now that you mention it, Trump did make a snarky remark awhile back alluding to the fact that a lot of D. C. really booze it up, unlike him. Wish I could remember what or when and the context. Funny.

Let Pelosi and Schumer explain — again — to their whacked-out base why they are “sacrificing” DACA (albeit, illegal aliens) so that President Trump does not get a big victory. Should be quite entertaining.
