Is it coming tomorrow? House Democrats are still holding the line on denying President Trump his border wall. The $5 billion proposal led to the current shutdown, now the longest in American history. Trump wants to at least get part of the border wall built. Democrats are not in a bipartisan mode. They just retook the House on the overarching promise to fight this White House not work with it.

As the two sides dig in, the crisis at the border is worsening. Yes, we do have a crisis on the southern border. The Washington Post and The New York Times reported on it. Former President Barack Obama even said there was a crisis. With another migrant horde setting off for the U.S. border, something has to get done. The president has been mulling declaring a national emergency to get it done, which isn’t facially unconstitutional, according to law experts, though how he would collect the funds to build this wall is another legal can of worms. Whatever the case, it seems now, with no deal in sight, Trump is preparing to declare a national emergency. We’ll find out for sure tomorrow around 3 P.M, but the president said that it will be about the crisis at the border.
The national emergency declaration to build the wall — which has looked like the most likely end to the shutdown for almost two weeks now — probably won’t accomplish what Trump wants.

Because they would have passed a funding resolution LAST YEAR (or even before that) with the borders security measures funded -- when the GOP controlled both the House and Senate.
Yes, he has to stand firm. If Trump folds again, especially a second time, it is over. That he calls it a humanitarian crisis makes it more likely he’s been listening to Ivanka lately. Not comforting.
That's why Trump was treating Nancy Pelosi like she was the Speaker of the House even before the Democrats took over the House two weeks ago.
I look forward to Trump’s announcement, tomorrow, and I won’t speculate on what it is. But I don’t think it’s going to be some kind of end-run-around of the House, like you are concerned about.
I think the guy is a GENIUS. Think about it. The Dems have a majority in the House, now, AND HE GOT THEM TO SHUT THEMSELVES DOWN for what is already the longest period in history. I wonder how long he can keep them in their own choke-hold. “Look Mom! I’m turning purple!” - “That’s nice, dear.”
I hope they stay shut down until an election can remove the Democrat majority. Then it will be like the “Blue wave” never happened.

And too, I would like to see all aid to Mexico and Central America suspended indefinitely. While we’re at it, send several army infantry and mechanized cavalry divisions to the border - including Abrams tanks. Perhaps then we can demonstrate to MS13 what slaughter truly looks like.
Maybe it’s time we start “walking all over” Democrats - literally.

He must announce the border will remain closed at least and until more security and secure fences are up; announce our ending all aid not only to Mexico, as we found out they lie and open their southern border gates not only unlocked but OPEN, but also to Honduras and Guatemala.
Next, Trump should announce most government offices will reopen on Tuesday and it’s employees will get paid.
He can remind Americans that the Democrat Party leaders in Washington do not care how long government stay shut down and do not care that some 800,000 employees suffer as they refuse to meet to find a way to end the shut down.
He should announce that once he realized that those leaders who refused to meet, were also on their way out of the country, he is taking unilateral steps to reopen agencies as it is his job as President, to care for all the American citizens!
President Trump owns the News cycle for the Sunday talk shows, before Dems have coordinated their messaging strategy in response to his last action.
Nonsense. Ryan would have caved over a government shutdown much faster than Nancy, especially with other Republican pressure that would have built up on Ryan.
Whoever wrote this is covering all the bases hoping to look good regardless of what Trump says. What a chump.

You are not far off. He can adjourn one or both house of congress till he sees fit. He has only to convene them once a year. They have already convened this year, so he could shut the house down till late 2020.
BTW, there is enough money to run the government through excise taxes IF he eliminates certain government agencies and programs.
All his constitutional duties are..National Defense, Commerce (trade) between the states and foreign nations and foreign relationships. Thats about it...the enumerated powers.
