"As of today, I am ordering that offices and quarters housing Congress be utilized to house illegal aliens until the government shutdown is ended, due to lack of funding for border security. Congress is not currently using these facilities, preferring instead to travel abroad rather than work on resolving the budget crisis."

Article IV Section Four of the Constitution of the United States reads:

The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

We have potentially a group of people equal or more than 10% of our populace inside our nation. If that isn't an invasion what is. It's still and occupation and habitation of land.

Ms. Pelosi, please get off your ass and do your job. If you refuse, please resign.

The RATS have set themselves up for a big fall here. No negotiation, no money, no wall. Trump needs to go all-in at this point and in such a way that the RATS cannot stop the effort. Let them try, scream, throw fits....all in preparation for the 2020 election and a platform of BORDER SECURITY.

Imo, this is a much better option at this time than declaing the emergency.

If Trump declares a "national emergency" and tries to build the wall without Congressional approval ... and the government is fully reopened next week ... then the Democrats will be walking all over Trump for two years.

Think about it:

The next Pelosi funding bill out of the House will include a provision that outlaws the use of Defense Dept. money for the wall. You can bank on this.

Since the DEMs intend on preventing a full build of a southern wall, the next best thing Trump can do in the interim is cut off funding for those countries that are facilitating or aiding the increased influx of illegals. Make the return of those funds contingent on the wall being built.

It would also be great if they could somehow prevent the transfer of funds from the US to anyone in Mexico (or anywhere south of the US).
