A fireman who joined France's Yellow Vest protest movement is in a coma after being shot in the head 'like a rabbit' by a police officer using a controversial flash ball gun.

Horrific images show Olivier Beziade, a father-of-three in his 30s, lying on the floor in Bordeaux on Saturday after being hit from behind.

He is wearing one of the high-visibility motoring jackets from which the Yellow Vests get their name.

Last night, I watched this video from about a week ago. Incredible!

I took 4 years of French in HS, so I still have a good understanding of it if not spoken too fast. (note: it was the only foreign language taught in my very rural high school)

I slowed the video down to 0.75 normal speed to verify the English subtitles. Well worth the time to watch even if you only read the subtitles!

About a dozen years ago in Boston, after some sports team won whatever, and college students went wild, a pepper ball round struck and killed some out-of-state student.

Hit her in the eye region just right. Probably wasn't even a fan, just happened to be a gawker in a rowdy knot of students.
