Newly-elected Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Monday called for conservative Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) to resign from the House because of his remarks questioning whether white supremacy is "offensive." I think he ought to step aside and I think Congress ought to make it very clear he has no place there, Romney told CNNs Manu Raju on Monday.
A spokeswoman for Romney confirmed the statement. Romney is the latest high-profile Republican voice to condemn Kings comments made in an interview with The New York Times in which he said, white nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization how did that language become offensive?
Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and civilization? he said.

“Romney is democrat control!”
Probably so, but if he caucuses with Republicans, that contributes to Republican control of the Senate.
no But every time there is a Romney story a few comment toward Mormons not him. These comments make claims I had never heard of and which I have read are not true.
Fahrenheit 451 here we come - looks like the Left is winning the battle to make actual words and phrases illegal once they apply the brand to them.
If only Romney had half the energy and passion in opposing Obama during the 2012 election as he now has in opposing Trump and his political allies (e.g. Steve King), he may have actually won the Presidency. My take is that Romney never really wanted the Presidency, he was the token opposition in an election that was already decided, and is perfectly happy where he is now: taking over in the Senate where McCain left off.
As I said in another post, Romney is going to fill McCain's shoes as the ringleader of liberal Republicans. Watch him lead to charge for amnesty and try to block every piece of legislation in the Senate that Trump might sign, just as McCain did during the last couple of years of his life and career.
