She finished her training with two man unit. then once you pass your training you move on to being by yourself. Some calls dictate two people respond.
This as reported was a traffic collision, not sure if shooter was involved in collision or walked up on the collision and fired on the officer.

That is an American Flag. There is a prescribed way to fold it back and use a common pin to hold it so it shows with pride.

I remember a Dragnet episode where they commented on the LA police were hiring more women police officers and they were doing parking enforcement and other inside jobs that freed up men to do “the more dangerous patrolling” assignments.
Fast forward a few years, and in the Charlie’s Angels intro, the women were bored with the jobs they were given and off course they became private eyes.
Nowadays, just like Wonder Woman used to do on TV, the TV programs show women police officers throwing around 250 pound guys that look like linebackers who never have any idea how to handle themselves in a fight.
I guess TV reflects what people want to see.
My lady cousin fits that profile, just a few years older. Just became an officer. She is a good shot and can easily pass all of the physical tests for the position. The only thing she could not pass is the part where when you put on the uniform, you grow 8 inches, add 80lbs and look meaner. I tried to talk her out of this career field, kind of like the talk that Sonny gave to C in the movie “Bronx Tale”: “this is not for you”, I told her.
She is not street smart so I worry this is not going to end well.
But, you were not out there like she was defending people with smart-mouths like yours.

Its the Law ENFORCEment flag. it segregates us, from “them”. The upper half is hard working people, the lower part is LE collecting revenue off us for every little “infraction” that, like their elitist rulers, they are exempt from.

You bet. Her training was probably extensive. Any officer can be shot at any time - even at a traffic accident. A big burly experienced officer could have been shot at the same scene.
