The barrier surrounding Nancy Pelosi’s family compound could, I think, be called “Harridan’s Wall”.
I once read it described as “worth seeing, but not worth going to see.”
So Trump is Hadrian, conquering the Isles and needing a wall to control the barbarians?
I’ll pass right by it in April. I might drop by and check it out.

I’d think that replacing Harridan with the b-word would be a more descriptive fit.
A wall itself might not be of much use, but as part of a strategy of layered defense, it’s indispensible.
Hadrian’s Wall was built by the Roman military.
Hint hint, Mr President.
It’s fine if you are passing through to Scotland or planning to visit the Lake District. Take ear muffs in the winter. VERY windy and cold.
We rented a car, and drove up from Newcastle. (Train from London to Newcastle.)
Well worth the trip. The “wall” itself was only the connection between distinct Roman camps and administrative centers at intervals behind the wall. Every camp and “fort” was connected by the road behind the wall, and those roads are still used as the location for today’s paved two-lane roads.
It worked, but like the much longer “wall” in China, it had to be manned, had to be defended. It was not just a single passive barrier magically protected the country behind it.
I'm jealous. My ancestors were from the Scottish borders. I'd really love to visit one day.

I don’t know if was in either of these shows or another that shows a reason for the location of Hadrian’s Wall was partly due to a geological fault zone that resulted in a natural stone facing several meters high and unscaleable in several places.
So, does your map imply that the caravans will come into the US via boat? Actually, quite a few Chinese come in to the US, have birth-right babies and overstay their visas.
Walls can be outflanked, surmounted and tunneled under. The whole point of the wall is to make illegal crossings more expensive and difficult.
Worth knowing about. Passed thru it some years back on a tour. According to the tour guide the section that was missing was hauled off by locals to construct nearby buildings. The missing section that we saw was used to build a Pub&Inn across the highway.
I've wanted to visit the UK all my life. This year I decided to make it happen.
Two weeks with Britrail combing England, Scotland and Wales. No agenda. No schedule. I'll decide where to go when I get up that morning.
Hope they’re not waiting fir O’Riley to build it.

I once worked for a large construction outfit that sent me to the south of England for a big renovations project. I wound up living there for about a year.
At Christmas break some Scottish friends invited me up for the holidays. Scotland was getting hammered with arctic blizzards at the time, so I declined.
After returning home to the US, I regretted not staying until spring so I could visit during better weather.
Ah well. It’s on my bucket list now.
