I think he was using a teleprompter tonight which he usually does not do. I’m sure he wanted to be certain that the facts were stated accurately b/c that makes the case for building the wall. It was interesting to see him speak like that, though. He is generally so off the cuff.
I’ll just say again - I think it was because he was doing an address to every American and not just the news/political junkies who follow the day to day.
He adjusted to the crowd he was speaking to as an appeal. I think his worked much better than the response....which seemed much more awkward.
In this situation I think the nasal issue actually gives him more “street cred”
