Last week, President Donald Trump said all four living presidents – Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama – support his push for building a border wall.
"This should have been done by all the presidents that preceded me, and they all know it," Trump told reporters. "Some of them have told me that we should have done it so, we're not playing games. We have to do it."
According to various reports, however, none of the former presidents had such a conversation with Trump.
The Carter Center took to Twitter to release a statement from the former president about his stance on the border wall, saying very clearly he "does not support" Trump's stance:

Why does the media distort Trump’s statement? He says they should have done the border wall.
As for what those guys say now, IRRELEVANT. Completely. The opioid epidemic was in part caused due to their inaction.

I think Trump should tweet that while Schumer and Pelosi seem to want a United States of North America, he respects Mexico’s sovereignty and will continue to do so by demanding a wall.
OK, I can’t believe Jimma Carter even knows who Trump is. And 3/4 are Democrats, so we’re using them to critique the Republican? Only with this media, this corrupt media.
They did ... back when it was convenient. Now that somebody (Trump) actually wants to BUILD the wall ... these pusillanimous poltroons are fleeing like suddenly illuminated cockroaches.

Trump said “some of them have told him so”. He didn’t say “All”. He didn’t say that he was president at the time...
We’re to believe Trump’s lying because:
EX-president Bubba Clinton “ I did not have sex with that woman”,
EX-president Barry Soetoro “ If you like your doctor,you can keep your doctor” and Ex President George Bush, who signed the law mandating the construction of the wall and incidentally wasn’t to be believed: “Bush lied, people died”,
WOULDN’T LIE!.
So they were for the wall before they were against the wall?

Classic fake news article. The former Presidents’ statements calling for border security and/or wall have been aired many times.
My sink drips. The last four plumbers who tried to fix it and failed all insist that the new guy I hired won’t get it done. Should I listen to those four plumbers?
