President Donald Trump will travel to the southern border Thursday amid the third week of the partial government shutdown, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders announced Monday.
“President @realDonaldTrump will travel to the Southern border on Thursday to meet with those on the frontlines of the national security and humanitarian crisis. More details will be announced soon,” Sanders tweeted.
The president is asking Congress to pass a spending bill that includes $5.7 billion in funding for the wall, but Democratic leaders say they will not agree to any bill that includes such funding.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi confirmed in an interview last week, “Nothing for the wall. We’re talking about border security.”
Trump is now trying to entice Democrats to vote for a package that includes funding for steel slats rather than a concrete wall, humanitarian aid, and additional border agents.

And the low life Democrats call our POTUS, Trump a “Mother F—ker”, Hitler, a Racist, a Lie Teller, a Womanizer.....Folks, ya all gotta be kidding me!!! I tell ya all something....I have been around a very long time....I have seen & lived with Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama & Trump...and, there is only Reagan that comes close to being the pro-active, effective, successful, POTUS, Trump is in making America #1. Some of these folks were OK...at least they tried. But....Clinton, Bush, Obama were bad or failures!!!
We should critic all of our Presidents and we should also raise them. Why? Simple...we, the american people put them there!!! Trump wins again!!!
I’m glad Trump will make this trip to the border. Very important. But I can’t help but think that it is a very dangerous thing to do. Many would want to take him out.
