I'm hoping to get an update in a couple of hours.

Rehab sent Richie back to ICU. He has some neurological problems that rehab was uncomfortable with caring for.

He has episodes when his oxygen level drops and it takes awhile to get it back up. This usually happens during his breathing treatments. He has needed to be 'bagged' with 100% oxygen to get the level back up.

He has episodes where his body temperature is uncontrollable. That is a neurological problem. Mostly it is the heat that he can't tolerate.

He still isn't eating enough. Hopefully when he gets home and smells food being cooked, he will get hungry enough to want to eat.

The doctors do not think this was caused by the flu vaccine but they have no answers as to what caused it.

He is still scheduled to go home at the end of this month. I think he will do much better there. He will need to adjust to a normal environment. No more bright lights and constant going ons. Brian is anxious to get him home where he will be able to care for him.

Richie's family and I appreciate all the prayers. We can never thank you enough.

God is good. Only he can perform miracles. Thank you, Father.

There is no reason to believe that Richie will not improve a lot once he is home. A long time ago hospitals found that just being home with loved ones improved a person more than having several doctors around them in a hospital.

God is always good and always with us.

God is good. This little angel still being with us is a miracle. Thank you Jesus. Prayers daily for this little angel. Thank you for the updates.

If the doctors can’t say what it is, how can they be certain it wasn’t caused by the flu vaccine? Are they saying it was just coincidence? Even given the known possible side effects and risks for the vaccine? Sounds more like trying to cover each other.
